Punk Classics on Sunday #12 with "The Ruts"
The Ruts wurden in London 1978 gegründet, spielten sehr melodischen Punk und machten auch gute Songs im Dub Reggae Genre. Der Sänger Malcom Owen verstarb leider schon 1980 an einer Überdosis Heroin. Die Band machte zwar unter dem Namen The Ruts DC weiter, doch den Erfolg ihres ersten Albums The Crack von 1979 erreichten sie nicht mehr.
