The Old Dog Shares: Good News For Steemit, Good News For All of us!
What proof is there that Steemit is growing, that its roots are spreading deeper and that even more success is around the corner?
Would you agree that having a Steemit article quoted by an outside source is an encouraging sign? Especially when that outside source is viewed by 10's of thousands of people? Of course you would!
With that in mind I'd like to share with you what I found by accident last night. While looking at a few videos on Youtube I saw a link to an article on Pizzagate that looked interesting.
Amazing, Free, Viral Publicity For Steemit Bloggers!
You'll notice that the video is referring to information that was posted by @titusfrost on steemit.com. The video has more than 23,500 views and is definitely bringing awareness to Steemit.
Keep in mind that the article as it appeared on Steemit had only 186 votes and 23 views so this really is amazing news and fantastic publicity that has gone "viral"!

Great to see such exposure! Soon, the need for a video platform signed Steemit will be needed full time in order to deal with what is being taken off of YouTube and such site...
Even more so, having our own video space will bring about a much bigger crowd our way, as long as we give it exposure and make it an easy venture to post them in the first place. Since we can now upload pictures directly from a click & drag onto our posts, I wonder how long it will take for it to become the same with video?

brilliant news - what i see in terms of positive for steemit is the fast indexing on google - when I google (ok via my own local machine, different results but still...) my series Today in #Sports #History or even only "Sports History" - usually I have 3-4 picks on page 1 on google from my own posts - this is encouraging for the platform - wondering how it is and how our bones are shaking when the marketing takes off and really more users turn up! More members is a good thing but it can also be a massive challenge as the spammers might come - i saw a lot social networks (steemit is different as much more) failing when the huge run of new users started. Discussions, negative vibes started - I really hope this will not kill us here! Thanks for the article @kus-knee - I am a fan now since 5 weeks of really using it but i know there will be challenges coming from new users too.

We will see is maybe not enough when the masses come - we all need to work together, as I ensure you the spam masses will hit us when the marketing starts in a usual way! As soon as money or financial rewards are in it will be a game for all of us to defend the platform - ideally a border to not let everybody in, qualification criteria or anything similar. Just saying @kus-knee
I think when it comes to the masses, things like SteemVerify will be very important. Honestly, I wouldn't mind showing my ID because it is a pay for content site and at some point I'm sure the tax man is going to want to put his hand in my virtual wallet (which will send all anarchists into a heated frenzy I'm certain.)
The learning curve is still quite steep for newcomers, especially if they have no knowledge in blogging and/or alt coin/blockchain technology. My personal feeling is Steemcleaners will nuke the spammers but it will be up to us to adopt newbies. I'm actually working on a post to propose such a call to action in another #payitforward initiative.
good point think we need to adopt the newbies and explain them step by step how they can add value to the platform and to themselves! This is key for such a platform, thanks for this thought @merej99 and @kus-knee I actually did think of such an article but honestly this needs to be discussed with the drives of steemit - and published as soon as we know when the marketing attack is going to be launched! No idea if this is sth to be discussed with @ned or @dantheman and if so via which platform - currently I am all in for steemit! We need t be prepared - therefore i am drafting sth up already :-)

Wow, that is awesome publicity! The article is now on 16701 views, which I hardly ever see here on Steemit. Let's hope that, out of all this traffic, we get lots of new members.

Whenever I write articles, I make certain to share them on Twitter, Fakebook and Gab.ai. They always show up on these sites with a steemit tag (that's probably the wrong word). Hopefully people come to steemit to read my blogs.

It's a good news! Me and my hubby share our posts on the social media that we use every day (twitter, facebook, etc..), I hope that help to encourage people to know Steemit .
As @uwelang and @merej99 , I think it's really important to study solutions against a massive spammers. I'm relatively newbie here, but I have years of experience as a blogger (in Italian language, of course ^_^) and I know that there are more people that can write good contents, but when the contents may generate incomes there are even more people that "watch" only the money and they don't understand that a good content (and reputation) are the best "investment" then they do it. The learning curve and steemcleaners are good solutions, but it's enough? For now, as I do in other platforms, my "strategy" is don't follow/don't upvoted the spammers and encourage the newbie with comments ;)

It's great to see Steemit posts getting shared on other sites. I haven't come across any such examples, only because my internet time is limited to Steemit only. But the more of this we see, the better off we will all do in the long run.
