Papa Rodins Promotes #1 - Found some great posts for you!

in #promotion6 years ago (edited)

Greetings, Steemians and Steemettes!

The last three days have been surprisingly crazy on Steemit for me. I don't know exactly, how it happened, but after I started my 100 Comments Challenge three days ago, I ended up beating it on the following days as well without really going for it. I had a lot of free time on my hand, so that certainly helped. Overall, I am super satisfied with how these days went. Since I will have a lot less free time starting next week, I intend to make the 100 comments challenge a weekly thing. Starting next Week, every Sunday is being used in the name of supporting Steemit, the Steemit Community and especially people who create content that I enjoy and/or think are worth being read.

About Post Promotion

There are a lot of resteem-services on this platform and as far as my observations and experiences go, most of them suck. I even go as far and say that most of them are scams. A lot of others incorporate post promotion ideas into contests and that is a great way to reward people doing great work as well. Frankly, I lack the $$$ for that to become a thing. Taking bids and payments for post promotion is also something I don't want to do. For one because I am not good enough at it to feel confident in charging for it, but I also just don't want to. People who provided quality content did me a service, so they shouldn't be penalized even further for that.

So I came up with the following solution.

Every Sunday, starting next week, I will take three posts that had outstanding or otherwise great content and feature them in this series. I will also give each of them a resteem so that everyone who follows me will have an easy time finding and reading them even without looking at my post. Do you like this idea? I am still a minnow, but with what limited options I have, I think that this makes for a fine idea. If you like it, leave me a comment in the comment section. Any ideas for improvement? Leave them too. Did you like the posts that I promoted? Tell them about!

That's enough out of me, let's start the promotion!

#1 Opinion — Leave Einstein "racist" diaries alone

Posted by @talkingwiseshit. Not a poster I am familiar with the person, but he definitively caught my attention with this post. We lived and still lived in times where racism is a big topic. In fact, I feel like the topic of racism has been beaten dead more than anyone should find acceptable. What I like about this post is that it shows a side that we do not see all this often when it comes to this topic: How to deal with racism.

@talkingwiseshit has done a great job putting his opinion about the topic into a words and achieved what I want anyone providing content for me to do: He made me pause and think. Give his post a good read, I am sure you will find that it does the same thing for you.

#2 Shojin Ryori - The Food of Monks

Posted by @backpackingchef. While I am usually not all that fond of food related posts, this one is special to me. For one because @backpackingchef actually wrote it after following a request from me in another post. The more important reason is because the topic actually interested me quite a lot and was well-explained and portrayed.

I do like to talk about food, nutrition and health benefits quite a bit while things that serve no other purpose than giving me phantom foodgasms usually leave a bitter taste in my mouth. This was the first time I encountered something with such an intricate system to it in the world of cooking that it left me amazed. Never having heard about it until yesterday, I wager that the same is true for most of you reading this, so go check out this post of @backpackingchef. It will be worth your while.

#3 Daily Dose of Sultnpapper 06/16/18> The silver lining when it comes to the price drop in steem…

Posted by the one and only @sultnpapper. @sultnpapper is a great guy in general who has been a great source of inspiration and support for me since my earliest days here on Steemit. This post here shows the kind of support I would like to be able to give to others around here in the future as well in order to form a community that is strong and holds together and helps itself grow past ones own imaginations.

Like me, @sultnpapper posts about about once every day, but he has a more personal style to his posts and shares some highlights of his day with you. In a very endearing way, I might add.

Building bridges

These three posts will also be resteemed, so you can find them in my blog right below this post as well. This post hasn't been written in the spirit of giving people financial support. I want people to openly express their appreciation for the hard work of others. With that being said, if you liked the posts I have provided, tell them about it. Leave comments in their respective posts, build bridges, connect with one another.

Picture taking by me

I firmly believe that the financial benefits that Steemit provides will come automatically as long as we form a strong community. Let us be the change, the improvement that we want to see in the world.

Well this is a nice surprise to find today, more so than the surprise I had the other morning on my BBQ post. Thank you for including me in your very first "Papa Rodins Promotes". There will be a day when you are just kicking ass and taking names on here as a top notch contributor and I will be able and look and say, " yea, I remember when he was just a young unknown pup on steemit, and I made the first edition of his Sunday Papa Rodins Promotes, now look at him; every post he publishes is leading the trending pages with real people putting him there."
That day will come, I pretty sure about that, just keep your focus and remember this isn't a sprint race its a marathon.

I am playing this for the long haul, no doubt about that. First three weeks have been good, the next thirty will be the real deal.

Well, first of all, is this image like a theme or sth? Kimd of reminds me of the Johny Walker Image lol

Secondly, I love what you have going on here. Giving back and supporting others is always such a noble thing to do. I'm pretty sure you'll go very far with the concept.

I do something nearly the same, which was inspired by @thedarkhorse through his weekly #PayitForward Curation Contest. I do curation vlogs but I have kind of put it on hold to work on a reward system.

Keep on doing what you're clearly passionate about & there will be no stopping ya.

Oh also, you're a Plankton not a Minnow. You need to Feed A little more to be a Minnow :D

Greetings :)

The picture is actually just me sitting in a tram looking at my smartphone wearing a suit. My Ex-GF took that picture of me and it actually looked awesome. There is a golden rule when it comes to photos and me. They will always end up terrible unless someone else takes them.

I experimented a bit with some cartoonizer applications because I love the way reallife pictures look when they are turned to arts and comics. I loved the way it ended up looking, so I decided to have that picture be my business card in here.

Looking forward to seeing more of your system. Let me know once you are starting it again.

So I am just Plankton, eh? Ah, well, that means that there is even more room for growth I guess :D
