Steemit coming alive in Wales - meetup planning underway - 100% growth target...

Following on from my previous couple of posts reaching out to other steemit users in Wales, things are now moving on.

We have set up a little Discord server to make it easier to discuss ideas and make plans.

Out of the known 15 active steemit users in Wales, there are now six of us signed up on the Discord with a couple more waiting in the wings.

Discussions are underway for planning a first SteemWales meetup.

The eigth of us so far are spread pretty evenly from north to south in the country so it is looking like the best mid point for all concerned will be somewhere in south Ceredigion, maybe Lampeter or Aberaeron.

The busy Christmas period is just about upon us, so January looks like a likely time for a meetup.

In the meantime we will use the Discord server to get to know each other, explore ways for mutual help and assistance on steemit, and kick around a few ideas for promoting steemit in Wales.

With about 15 active members in Wales at the moment I personally would like to see a doubling of that number by early next year.

I think setting a 100% growth target in three months could be an exciting challenge for our little band of SteemWales.

So far those joined up on the Discord server include @stevejhuggett, @guided, @nicholas.leslie, @mivstar and @pumpkinsandcats. @artystuff and @growthtools have also expressed interest.

I am hoping we can revive the interest of some of the others on the original list that @stephenkendal kindly provided of all the Wales related users on steemit.

Although steemit users seem to be about as rare as dragons in Wales so far I am pretty sure the SteemWales can have a good crack at getting steemit steaming here.
