@anarcotech finally stops being a donkey and figures out how to do maths properly!
Fixed upvoting issue on the CAMPUS automated upvoting system.
After deploying the system and running it, I discovered a number of issues with the code for the upvoting guild, which yesterday caused a number of people to get much lower upvotes that they should have got. This was entirely my fault in not doing the maths correctly, and basically being as thick as pigshit.
I'd like to apologise to those who got an upvote from @steem-ambassador of 1% yesterday. You should have got an upvote of 19% each.
And in fact, the low amount (19%) of this was partly due to the fact that there were a large number of posts which had all received the required number of upvotes from Steem Ambassadors (at least 3 needed to vote on each post) over the last few days, and because we were deploying and testing the system, the @steem-ambassador account hadn't been upvoting....so the list kind of grew bigger than it would normally be over a day.
I've been so thick in fact that I had to ring @starkerz this afternoon to ask him to check the sums. Now, he's an ex engineer, so he's quite good at stuff like this, and he confirmed to me that I had in fact finally got it right. My old maths teacher at school would be turning in his grave (i'm sure I put him there!)
So, I have just run it all again, with the maths fixed, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. So the latest posts which all met the required threshold have all received exactly the right upvote weight they were supposed to get. The system has now gone to sleep and is waiting for the voting power to replenish before it runs again.
The summary therefore is that it does appear that CAMPUS is now working properly, and rewarding those who post to the #promo-steem tag who have met the criteria from a multi-proof-of-brain curation system (in other words, they got 3 upvotes from Steem Ambassadors). Hooray.There are a few other small issues which I need to take a look at, and I will be fixing these over the next day or so once I've tested them locally, but they aren't affecting anything at the moment.

You know what we need to do right now? We need to attract more people in London to the Cryptocurrency Show. I've had my mind opened a bit this evening, and it's clear now we need to leverege every resource we have at our disposal to bring more people from outside the STEEM community to the show.

I get a lot of complaints these past 2 months, especially from my recruited Steemians friends, as I myself rarely get an upvote from account @steem-ambassador, as a promo-steem team I can not give answers to those complaints that do not get upvote.
after seeing your post I feel a little relieved, maybe new steemians friends will get upvote on quality post with tag #promo-steem.

The rules of how the guild upvotes are here. I encourage all promoters to read this. Basically it's now the job of the Steem Ambassadors (currently 32 of them) to curate on the #promo-steem posts. If there is a concensus reached on a particular post then they will receive an equal share of an upvote from@steem-ambassador in the next upvoting round (1 round per day). Once this is done, it will trigger an upvote from the @steem-ambassador AutoTrail, which will add further upvotes to the post.
This filters out spammy/plagiarised posts, and makes sure that the voting mechanism is completely decentralised.
So if you want to get upvotes from @steem-ambassador, it's important to make sure your posts meet the community guidelines.
I have read every rule, and I will continue to try my best, thanks to your answers. this will be the best answer for those who complain to me about their upvote post #promo-steem.
