Moire patterns animation with C++ - Part #2

in #programming7 years ago (edited)

Hey there Steemians. It's time to show you another in-work animation with Moire patterns and C++

intro pic.jpg

There are 2500 lines, all having one end in the center of the screen. I used the other end of each line as a center for circles that change radius while moving. Used a bit of transparency too, for better effect. Same movement as the previous one, just different shapes.

Here's a video, but YouTube is compressing it a lot, so the quality is pretty bad.

Here's a gif here. It takes a little while for it to load, but the quality is many many times better.

Does it look interesting? Do you have any ideas to share? Let me know if you enjoyed this, and here are some previous articles related to this project in-work:

How do you use them in practice? Do you get orders for company logos?

Hey @haiyangdeperci, I don't use them anywhere else at the moment. They are a learning process and help me understand how to use the language better. But if I'd have to use them somewhere, it would be for demoshows, competitions, movie intros, maybe even commercials. Similar demos and animations are more and more used everywhere, that's what makes them so so fun. For examples the guy that made this demo here:

got a job at a huuuge animations company (can't really remember which one exactly, but it's big). So yes, these sort of demos can be used for logo presentations too, if you want to.
