Silbury Hill

The largest artificial hill in Europe is a big question mark for science, the purpose is still unclear. Height: 37m, age: 4700 years

Der größte künstliche Hügel in Europa stellt für die Wissenschaft ein großen Fragezeichen dar, der Zweck ist bis heute nicht geklärt. Höhe: 37m, Alter: 4700 Jahre

West Kennet Long Barrow

The long-hilled grave is about 5500 years old and one of the most important megalithic sites in the area.

Das Langhügelgrab ist etwa 5500 Jahre alt und eines der bedeutensten Megalithanlagen der Gegend.

Cherhill White Horse

This horse was only created in the 18th century based on the Bronze Age horses of the area. We were lucky at our visit there and saw a local cleaning the site.

Dieses Pferd wurde erst im 18. Jahrhundert an Anlehnung der bronzezeitlichen Pferde der Gegend geschaffen. Wir hatten Glück beim Besuch dort und konnten einem Einheimischen bei der Pflege zusehen.
