What Really Sucks Is I Would Of Almost Doubled My Profits If The Transaction Would Of Registered!
When I initially transferred my SBD to Poloniex there was no history or transaction ID. I immediately filled a ticket and received no response from initial filing to the SBD showing up in my Poloniex wallet. I've been very careful not to trade large amounts of currency on any exchanges and to keep most of my coin in a cold wallet, which I only have the keys. So unlike many I didn't lose track of large amounts of coinage with this Poloniex Glitch.
Be Careful Keeping Large Amounts Or Trading Large Amounts Of Cryptocurrency On Exchanges!
My Lesson wasn't too painful of an experience. Cryptocurrency exchanges are like the "Wild West," with freedom there is no safety net.

I'm glad you got your initial money - not a total loss. You're right when you say it's like the Wild West out there on the exchanges. There's glitches everywhere. It's totally Risk vs Reward. You gotta admit, it's more Exciting than putting your dough in a regular savings account and earning 1.75 % per annum or whatever.

I would use bittrex right now or blocktrades. Blocktrades is really easy to use, the fees are high though, fear is good if used correctly ...don't let it freeze you solid!😉 Lololol

Isn't keeping steem in your steemit wallet similar to keeping it on an exchange? What I mean is that if steemit.com were to get hacked they could take everyone's steem.
That's a good question, I think we would be shit out of luck. There are several articles written on this issue but for the life of me I cannot remember any details. Let's do a search! This is one of the reasons why I keep all my sbd in alternative currencies and powerdown a percentage of my steem to exchange for Bitcoin which is the most stable right now of all cryptocurrencies. If I had invested money in Steemit this question would be at the top of my fact finding list!

that sucks, alot of people are complaining about this. I suggest using bittrex, cause it seems and I heard that poloniex is trying to manipulate prices to buy cheap and make profits. It is not the first thing this year that happens. Be carefull, those exchanges are big but not really trustable, they can do whatever they want. Succes!
I will not be selling anymore sbd for now and I'll prolly buy steem on the uptick from this dip. I should of held my sbd but I need funds so I took a hit.
I have an account on Bitterex, I registered the day my sbd disappeared after the last Steemit hardfork and transferred all my shitcoin To my bittrex wallet. I have wallets off exchanges for LTC and my BTC. I don't trust anything that's centralized! Yeah the patterns of down time and lags during trading on Poloniex during upticks is very suspicious.
indeed a few months ago they claimed to be under ddos attack, strangly and very coincidental the price of ripple just hit 42 cents its all time hight and then is when it happend while price dropped to 30 cents and noone could sell... good you are carefull

I have some GRC I was trying to withdraw that has got stuck - they did email to say they were going to cancel the transaction so it would reappear in my account, nothing has happened since , that's been a week. ? Your article is very promising for me thank you for sharing.
I know of several people who lost track of exchanges on Poloniex and have finally found resolution, I hope you recover your coins!
Thank you, yes me too. It was not a huge amount but it was strange I had a transaction 10 mins previous and everything was fine. Glitch's happen and I have seen them struggle at times when the system gets over loaded. Its an easy platform to use - which is why I like it.

Last month i had problem sending sbd to poloniex, after waiting 24 day sbd i just go in, without any history.
I know! I won't be selling, I'm buying now! Although I won't use polo for my business. Poloniex has growth issues, it should invest in better infrastructure and people😏
