Donald Trump Is Not Going To Be The President You Think He Will Be
Love him or hate him, The Donald will not do the things he said during the campaign.
No President ever does.
Afraid Donald will deport everyone with Hispanic Heritage?
Not going to happen.
And that’s good.
Think Donald will repeal and replace Obamacare?
Nope.
Not a chance.
Nuclear threat?
No.
Gold standard?
Nope.
Bring back manufacturing jobs and return to Smoot–Hawley type Tariff Act?
No and no.
Why?
The President of the United States is NOT a Dictator.
Despite the populist vote in the election, Donald is still beholden to the will of other branches of government.
If you don’t know how this works, I can help you!
Campaign promises cannot come true without more than just the flick of a pen by the new President.
But you knew that, right….?

@strangerarray, I want very much to believe your post. I was just as depressed when Reagan was elected, but the nation survived as it usually does. My underlying concern however, is that the "other branches of government" will not be asleep or intimidated as they were in Nazi Germany.
I think beyond "other branches of government", there is a reason to hope in the people involved in America.
When we stop assuming things about our friends, neighbors, and co-workers and instead treat them as humans who are capable of holding honest adult discussions, then truly we can grow stronger.
Being horrified for many months of both candidates in the USA, (being a Canadian, now living in Mexico) I found myself strangely at peace with Trump winning and the Hillary mafia group losing, my mind reeling, is this just the Shadow Governments trick to place Trump in power fooling us once again and the right and left are just the same , or has there been a real shift in the Human consciousness and we are on the road to taking back our power and Trump is the child in all of us evolving (as hard as it is to see the vulgarness and silliness of the child evolving)I want to believe this scenario, and if Believing is seeing then I will be rewarded with a new paradigm shift in our realities we experience here on earth. It may be a bumpy ride, with the economy collapsing in the USA very soon, and the powers that Be not wanting to relinquish control of their nefarious agendas, But I do cradle that hope so lovingly to my chest! We Are awakening!
