How to win a nuclear war | realtalk | chapter 1

in #politics7 years ago (edited)

Religious belief in the state and its governments and politicians is an epidemic that has hit the world. But what can individuals do about it to achieve a free society? This question is an expression of helplessness. If the question is asked this way, the answer must be that the individual can not do anything at all.

Does that mean putting your head in the sand and having to give it up? No. First, the question must be asked why people approach the problem in this way.

A doctor would not ask himself in an epidemic, how he could make the whole country healthy again. He alone or as part of an organization would begin to treat as many patients as possible. Nobody would try to single-handedly stop an epidemic or build a skyscraper. Almost everyone would take care of the health of his family, his friends, acquaintances and neighbors, or start to fix his own dilapidated house.

The claim to accomplish immediate miracles alone causes powerlessness and crippling helplessness.

If you really want to fight for a better world, then first identify the problem. The actual struggle takes place on the intellectual and philosophical field and not on the political stage. Politics is only the symptom of wrong philosophical principles. If you only fight politics, you will not achieve anything. And who has no philosophical foundation, nothing better has to offer than politics.

There's no point in wanting to convert everyone. History has always been made by intellectual knowledge of minorities. It does not depend on the quantitative dissemination of these findings, but on their quality. A philosophical struggle is a struggle for the heads of men and not for their blind followers in the greatest possible number. Once the battle for philosophy is won, the mind will do the rest.

In times of a philosophical vacuum that creates fear and confusion, people are receptive to answers. Can you answer her questions? Can you offer them the right philosophical foundations? Do you know how to make them aware of their mistakes? Are you immune to the constant attacks on reason? Can you provide others with the right weapons to fight back? A philosophical fight is not a shuffle in a schoolyard. He is a nuclear war.

If you want to get involved in this fight, then it's the first step in organizing your own ideas and integrating them as well as possible into a consistent and consistent whole. For this you do not need omniscience, but only honesty and an active mind that does not accept contradictions and only gives rest when corrected. A consistent and consistent philosophy is the basis of the discussion of all specific questions. If the philosophical foundation is there, you are able to give answers.
The second step is to talk about your views. And on every occasion. People are constantly talking about false moral ideas as if they were truths that can no longer be questioned. Make it a habit for you to contradict. A friendly "I disagree" is enough. Be prepared for your interlocutor asking for explanations. Discourage in this way the dissemination of morally wrong platitudes. If the other person is pursuing good intentions, it will help him. If he pursues low intentions, it will undermine his self-confidence. If your ideas are attacked, do not be silent, but defend yourself argumentatively. Do not force a discussion on anyone who is not interested or willing to argue factually. Ask in doubt before. Do not join any ideological groups. Above all, no one who proclaims any political goal. You would thereby sacrifice your fundamental principles to superficial political action, actively promoting the failure of your own ideas.

Your ideas only develop power when you are convinced that they are important to you and your life. If you integrate your beliefs into every aspect of your life, there will be countless opportunities to enlighten others. This is exhausting and requires Courage and overcoming. And there is no shortcut about an organized movement.

It is never too early or too late to develop and disseminate the right ideas. Except in a totalitarian dictatorship. If our country ever slips in there, it is only because it is silently accepted. How much time remains until then, no one knows. But time is on our cards. Because we have an indestructible weapon and an invincible ally to win the philosophical nuclear war: reason, reality and will.
