Missed - Original Poem - The tears that brought me here.
Missed
One by one
Often times we are alone
Amongst the ones we love
A suffer from dual loss
Experience helps ease a pain
Yet it all just began
Knowing what it's like
Tears streaming down the face
Questioning the beats that stopped
Slight pain at memories
Heart-breaking reality
Despair at the uncertainty
Pieces left in the wake
Body & Spirit left to repair
A plan that was never expected.
so touching a poem
and triggered emotions for me, my thoughts are with you your sister and the family, such a sad time, which unfortunately i can relate to the emotions you must all be going through
I am so sorry that you can relate to those emotions. No matter how much we know that others, and many others suffer, it still hurts and can make us feel a bit alone, a bit guilty and such. Thank you for your thoughts though as any good thoughtful vibes for her are much appreciated.
Jenny, this is beautiful! I just wrote a poem on forgiveness and I am going through a low phase in my life so I can relate to everything in this poem. Just beautiful! <3 Resteeming this one.
Sometimes it is easy to express your thoughts and emotions in poem then just with simple words. Very touching and as I learnt from the comments it is a real tragedy, my sympathy with you and your family. It is good to let it out and not to keep in yourself.
Thank you. It actually started off explaining it a bit more in detail and it just rubbed me the wrong way. So, I decided to write the poem as it was just a bit more to honor the situation and the hurt. I am certainly to the point where I do have to be able to let things out at least a bit, I know from experience that always keeping them in can be harmful. Thank you for the sympathy you send, it is greatly appreciated for my dear sister.

It is indeed. Thankful that she can lean on me, and she does, so I am happy I can help at least a little bit in this horrible time. Still so sad and I would be lying if I said it hasn't brought me down a bit with it. The poem I felt was a more honorable way to express what I was feeling even though it was quickly written.
Unexpected, unexplainable, painful, heart-breaking..

Very touching poem. Can you explain the reality behind these? Sometimes words are not enough to explain how we feel, but in all I feel you have come out of it all stronger.
My sister was expecting twins and during a checkup yesterday, found out they no longer had heartbeats.

No she's not. That I will do. I've been through similar which is why I mentioned role above. I see how my own experiences help her and happy at least I can relate during this hard hard time. But yes, heart-breaking.
Ok, in that case I feel you are in the best position to help her through this hard time. I'm really touched by your experience too. Sometimes, we don't know what people are passing through despite they looking very happy. Please take good care of her and yourself too.

Thanks Jenny for opening your heart in poetic expression @topkpop. Tears can be cleansing. I know the feeling and relate to your poem. I married about twenty years ago and tried to have kids but after seven years the doctor said it was impossible.
Now I have two sons :)

Thank you darling. I am okay. I am worried for her as I have been around it myself (twice), but never gets easier even as a bystander because you know which phases someone is going through and how they are beating themselves up. I am thankful that at least my experiences are providing her a bit of comfort when she needs to talk and needs someone to understand. Thank you for your kind words and even for taking the time to read this poem.
I think she’s probably very thankful too that she has you to turn to as someone that’s unfortunately been through the same situation as herself.
