Always

Dim memories still which ebb and flow
Soft follow slow to wold or fold
While chasing near my earthly woe
Forging pith both lithic and cold

Endless in their vexing torment
Taking from my pursuit of light
Seeking refuge in my lament
To cast their shade o'er dim of night

With guileless temper, rank or file
And intense abhor for withdrawal
Ascending still that lofty spile
Eager and empty / guard and fall

Set sail you wretch and hear my plea
Return me to my sanity.
