Steemit Poetry Contest #16 Anger
A strong feeling of displeasure or hostility.
So many people use it to the best of their ability.
When we give into earthly desires;
our lives become full of ire.
Anger and hatred held inside
are the most common reason for suicide.
Now about the anger that we misplace,
that puts tears on our child's face.
We need to take some time and pause,
and think about all the suffering that we cause...
If we don't control our anger and hate
it will control our lives and our fate.
Look at what jealousy has done,
we resolve our problems with a gun.
I am tired of calling it indignation
when our country bombs a weaker nation.
How long will we live these feelings of fury?
How many people must we bury?
Before anger takes it's toll...
let us learn some self control!

wow @royaleagle, this is a very powerful poem you've written here! It's so true though isn't it; anger and hatred really do summon up some ugly things in people. I'm not quite sure how or why so much hate exists exists in this world, and it's usually based on nonsense like skin colour or religion or other things that don't make a person who they are. I'm going to check out the contest you're putting this in and cast my vote for you if that's required! Cheers:)
