Pinky And Spiky Drawing Contest - Week #1: Win SBD And Laugh More!
Do you like the quirky humor of our piglet Pinky and hedgehog Spiky? Can you relate with the screw-ups of Spiky? Or perhaps you have something in common with the order-loving Pinky? Here's the thing: my wife Ausra - @laputis and I thought it would be fun for people to join in a contest to draw our beloved imaginary friends and win some SBD.
Are you an experienced artist? You can participate easily. Are you a beginner like us? No problem. This contest is open to every humor-loving Steemian.
Rules
- Make a post of a comic strip you made
- It could be a single panel or a multi-panel comic strip - the length doesn't matter
- Could be a silent comic too - without words.
- The comic strip has to follow this contest theme
- The comic has to be original and made by you
- Digital and conventional art is valid
- Use any drawing materials you want
- Use #pinkyandspiky as your first tag
- Upvote and Resteem this post
- Comment this post with link to your entry so people can see them

Theme
Over the last weekend Spiky trimmed some apple trees in their garden because a lot of the branches were long, thin, vertical and wouldn't bear fruit in the summer or autumn.
So we thought it would be nice for this week's theme to be Pinky And Spiky Trimming Apple Trees. Use your imagination. Surprise us (and yourself) as much as you can. That's where great humor comes from.
Rewards
3 winners will share LIQUID SBD raised for this post in the following manner:
1st Place: 45 % Liquid SBD raised after payout
2nd Place: 30 % Liquid SBD raised after payout
3rd Place: 15 % Liquid SBD raised after payout
@laputis and I will pick winners based on what made us laugh the most. But we will also take into consideration the quality of the comic strip as well - how well it is drawn. However, humor is the most important thing here because when we start drawing, our technique and style isn't at the level of an artist with 10000+ hours of experience.
Our goal here is to support the community while inspiring to create some amazing art and add more laughter to everyone's day.
We need to laugh. Did you know that children laugh on average 300 times a day while adults - only 5 times? No wonder we have so much anxiety, stress, depression and all related illnesses in the world. Laughter has tremendous healing power. So in short, we need to remember the mental state we were in while being kids. The world was a magical place full of wonder and adventure.

Interesting comic contest I hope I can join. I know I love to draw but I am not sure if I can create something that would make someone laugh. :)

One rule for laughter: make one character lie in order to cover up something. The more he/she tries, the funnier it gets.
