La Fortuna!
Since today is #longexposurephotography day... will share some photos of a great waterfall I visited a few months ago in Costa Rica.
This is La Fortuna waterfall, and is located about 6km of the town with the same name, near Arenal volcano. I have a thing for waterfalls, and when they are completely surrounded by nature, as is the case here, it is almost a mandatory visit!
The water comes from Arenal river, and falls arount 70 meters to a small pool, continuing to flow in its path through the rainforest.
It is easily reach by car, but then... you better be in good shape, because there's a loooooong row of stairs until you reach the base! And the hard part is not going down! :) But trust me, it's worth the effort... the waterfall is stunning, there are a few breaks from the stairs on the way down (and up), and the view is always a pleasure if you like nature.
So if you're visiting Costa Rica, and if you visit the famous Arenal volcano... try to include La Fortuna in your trip, you won't be disappointed!
