"Nightfall" BEFORE vs AFTER [I backtracked my steps in Lightroom and Photoshop and made a GIF showing how this picture changed from original to finished] ─=≡Σ((( つ•̀ω•́)つLET’SGO!
"Nightfall"
This is a picture I made on 24.06.17 so 5 days ago. It was taken from on top a small hill looking down on a wavy field. It was late in the evening around 23:00~00:00.
Editing is very subjective. You might find you need to do a lot or the opposite. It really depends what you are comfortable with.
I like to edit my images a lot, but not randomly. I always try to be as precise as possible, avoid "halos" (that HDR'ish glow) to appear anywhere and really only try to bring out the details in an image while staying true to what I think I saw while taking the picture.
The difference between before and after might be really big and make some people think "photography is all fake", but you need to understand the camera sees differently than your eyes and I'm not trying to bring you 1:1 natural images.
Nice Work, Both pics are looking awesome, Before and After as well .. :)
omg your so good =D
thank you :D
First photo is gorgeous and nice gif
thanks!
You're 100% right about the editing, it's definitely and incredible art to master. I think u did a hell of a job with this edit, it's 100000x times better then the original in my opinion.
Keep it up with these edits, they are amazing!
Thank you!
So true, editing is essential, because without it, then your art is only defined by how the camera sees the image, and not how you saw the scene.
Yes! :D
Photography is art ,that's true , beautiful
Thanks! :)
Wirklich toller Effekt...das Foto ist der Hammer :)
Danke sehr! :D
SEHR GERNE, MEIN FREUND
Just Wow!
It is a sea of colors!!
Editing is a skill and you, Sir, are superbly talented! This one is amazing!
Lost for words... a thousand Thanks, Tara! :D
Do you edit your shots too?
Not all. Like you said, some pics don't need any editing.
I don't use any tools to edit though. Just basic level editing :P I just try to enhance the colors just a little bit :)
Yeah. Well exposed images don't need much editing to look good. Guess I'm a bit spoiled by editing :D
I sometimes take underexposed images just to keep the ISO down knowing I can recover all shadows afterwards. Bad habit :P
Whatever it is, keep doing it!
I love the daily dose of Sulev Photos! I'm not sure if that's your name. :P
