The longest lunar eclipse of the century
Hello everyone
This photo is taken during the full lunar eclipse. that bright point in the lower right is Mars. In normal situation, moon is much brighter than mars, so even if they appear close to each other in the sky, you can't take a shot so that both are visible. If you set the exposure to capture moon, mars won't be visible and if you set the settings to capture mars, moon will be totally with with a halo around it. But tonight, because of the lunar eclipse, this was possible. Moon was way darker than normal, but Mars was bright as it always was.

Gorgeous moon. I was actually more interested in seeing Mars, but unfortunately nothing could be seen where I am at. I like the long blackness of this shot - it is relaxing.
Thanks for the comment. If you're interested in Mars, there's plenty more chances. It appears frequently in the night sky.
I'm also interested in finding and watching Jupiter, Venus and Saturn, they also appear in the sky frequently and specially for Jupiter and Venus, they're easy to spot.
There's an android app called Star chart infinity, which is really helpful for finding celestial bodies.
