Lost in space [with SBD reward] - Shaka´s miniature scene #6 [Original work]
Help our shipwrecked space traveller to escape this seemingly hopeless situation!
Please figure out a rescue operation and put it to the comments. The proposal with the most upvotes will be rewarded with 5 SBD and I will try to implement it asap in one of the upcoming miniature scenes.
Oxygen and food supplies won´t last longer than for two weeks max!
I count on you. Let´s bring our man back home!
(Only one restriction: there are no freeze-dried potatoes in the ship, so the strategy of The Martian will not be feasible. Or at least would require major adaptation ;-))
Enjoy!

The space traveler could wait for the Russian Soyuz to rescue him. This could be a chance for the Russians to use the lunar lander they never used in the late 60's / early 70's.
Awesome idea, I´ll make a phone call right now! :-)
A nice original collaborative work!
I suggest: another space ship on the other side if the ridge he is looking over, piloted by a rival Alien species who has also crashed, but may have the parts necessary to fix one of the ships. This is also the plot of a short story called Enemy Mine by Barry B. Longyear.
Also, he could find something in the place he crashed (asteroid?) to help him.
Thank you!
Great proposal. In fact, ground control received some non-random radio waves emitted from this asteroid, distinct from our ships mayday signal. So it´s seems our man is not alone. Let´s see how this develops :-)
Awesome! I love your miniature scenes, so much work and you're so into the details!
My proposal would be the orbiter Rosetta, maybe it could be sent to this place to pick him up (not very creative, I know^^)
Cheers, Ines
That´s a great idea. No option should be disregarded. Let´s see what others propose!
And thank you very much for your kind feedback!
Thank you for your encouraging words, always appreciated!
Yes, I am also curious what the other readers of this post will propose - there are many very creative steemers out there!
Indeed! Let´s hope they will find this post...
Awesome Shaka! You´re the man!
He´s out, looking for resources or parts from a Satelite-Crash, to fix his spaceship. He was digging through the rocks, when he heard a high-pitched stuttering. Completely choked by the Sound, he fell to the ground and turned his head around.
What he saw where 3 space dolphins!
Why Dolphins, you ask?
Well, whenever humans are threatened by death, dolphins save them.

Dolphins will come for your help, whether it´s the open sea or in space!
I love this idea, @chris.roy !
Well... after first shock and a feeling of desolation our space traveller finds out that the rocks are in fact blue cheese. The microbes making that cheese work differently and produce not CO2, but O2.
After communicating this to earth, scientists quickly find out that this could be one solution for the climate change.
The ongoing press releases make markets react and prices for blue cheese rise to astromomical heights.
With money drawn from subscrition warrants on blue cheese finally a very fast rescue operation could be financed.
In the meantime the astronaut has become obese by eating cheese the whole time. As well his olfactory sense has become strange...
Very creative but a highly difficult scenario to implement for me. Nevertheless, you have my vote! Let´s see...:-)
Wow, really liked the making of. Impressive work.
Thank you very much! I´m glad you like it.
Send Matt Damon. Note, this is my suggestion for most problems in life.
OK, I´ll give him a marching order! Any suggestion, what he should do specifically? :-)
Matt Damon- mainly just look good.
The astronaut could use one of the fuel cells ( I have no idea about spaceships I'm just guessing) to cause a small explosion under the rocket- propelling it back into space and using it as a type of glider to get close enough to be able to free-fall (float??) to the international space station.
Sounds great, the fuel cells are all still pretty much charged. Towards the ISS would be a rough ride but we should definitely consider this option. Let´s see what else comes up ;-)
I have suggested this post to a friend of mine with an interest in space. I felt we needed to some expert advice, so i'll see if he pops by.
Your posts are just so damn cute!
Thank you so much!
Very creative !
Thank you, appreciate it:-)
