I am a bit confused by the spoon placement next to the cup. And then I remembered you are left-handed. And now I want hot choco! Nice photos! I like the second one more with the fire in the background.

When you serve a cup of coffee, it is most likely that the ear will bend to the right, and the little spoon is placed on the top (behind the cup when placed in front of the guest) side, milk and sugar, and a cookie added to the side of the ear. This is done to make it easier for both left- and right-handed people to pick up the spoon, once they wish to use it, and not in the way if they don't.
I used this common sense in the placement of the spoon. But later adjusted the spoon without touching the ear. That aside, I should've placed the spoon in a perpendicular line with the ear of the cup.

Maybe the placement of the spoon was a smart thing... feeling awkward while looking at a photo is also a reaction ;)
Yeah, the spoon is not placed like it normally would've been placed, its slightly off, keen eye!

Haha! I am with @r00sj3 in that now i want a cup of home made hot chocolate with marshmallows!! Sounds yummy and is a beautiful blog in images and words. I prefer the top pic it is more professional looking and the orange colors add nice eye appeal. I find the second image more boring than the first though it's simplicity does illicit a sense of nostalgia for me. ☕

I've seen these kind of cozy-ass photos of hot chocolate on tumblr, even reblogged them, I love 'em, BUT I've never drank it that way.
Well, I did try to add marshmallows to my drink once but as your post suggests, I should have started adding them while heating the milk. My cup was more like cocoa gone from hot to warm and huge marshmallow just floating there in the way of me drinking.
Will try out your way some day for sure.
