Longwood Gardens part 3 - Flowers are coming, in rows!

Flowers in formation!

Now comes the photos with flowers, there will be many flowers and a few posts. Let's get started.

The way they plant and set the flowers is amazing. My platoon in basic training couldn't understand proper intervals in a standing formation but these flowers are dead on.

Seriously the rows are so perfect you could walk them blindfolded and still not crush a flower. If you snickered at the name of the flower Cockscomb, you owe me an upvote on a recent post. I'm using the honor system here folks, don't lie to yourself.

Shortest in the front, tallest in the back, even spaces. I'm just saying, someone in the design aspect of these flowers understands the adherence to military drill and ceremonies. Or they just kick butt at planting flowers in an almost mathematical method.

Now this guy is huge. And I mean huge. The darn thing stands at like five feet tall. Whenever I walk by it with the wife I make continuous Little Shop of Horrors references until I make the eyes roll, then I know I have won the day. For me living on the eastern US, that is a damn big plant for not being a tree.

Even small fountains in the middle of a room have to have some type of beautiful flora growing next to it. At Longwood that is basically what you expect, crazy beautiful flowers at every turn, even in places that would be boring at any other destination.

Behold another fountain as we walked into the conservatory. Crap, fountains was my last post, and this one is supposed to be flowers. Sigh, I'll get it right guys I swear.

Behold a series of flowers on the right side of your screen and some random green power outlets at the bottom you might not have noticed if I didn't directly announce them to you just now. Crap.

And this is the garden path inside the building, where many an individual have become engaged. In all truth Longwood Gardens probably has a ton of engagements due to its existence because the place resembles an ongoing fairy tale.
