The black woodpecker (Dryocopus martius)
It's a pretty big bird. Larger than Great Spotted Woodpecker. Much bigger! I met mushroom pickers in the forest, they told me that they saw a black grouse on the hill. When I came to the place, no black grouse there is not found. Found here this handsome. I read that they are even confused.
This woodpecker has a very loud and memorable voice. His loud "Kyooooooo!" can be heard quite far.
The black woodpecker is very stubborn. His smaller brothers, superficially examine the tree, and then fly to another. But this sturdy is very hardworking. He very long and diligently examines the tree, tearing pieces of bark out of it. So then, if in the forest you see a tree crippled from the bottom up, then you know, a black woodpecker worked here.
