Skalite ski jump from a slightly different perspective.
This time the Sunday direction of the trip was proposed by my son.
After last week's walk through the forest - where the eyes will take us ( link ) - this time the goal was specifically selected.
Our goal was the Skalite ski jump.
However, we wanted to watch it from a slightly different perspective than it can be admired during ski competitions.
So we went well-known paths. The first - the obligatory point on the route - is a stream at the edge of the forest. In the Sunday sun he presented himself magnificent.
Then we went uphill sharply.
The sun gently pierced through the thicket of the forest.
Soon we went out onto a wide forest road, cut out a few years ago for fire-fighting purposes.
After a few hundred meters, the forest on the right became more rare, revealing the peaks surrounding the valley in which Szczyrk is located.
In the picture on the left we can see the Beskid mountain, on whose slope there is the Beskid Sport Arena ski center. While on the right You can see the Magura slope, and behind it the snow-capped peak of the Klimczok mountain - 1117 m above sea level.
When we look right, we can see a valley that reaches the border of Bielsko-Biała city.
We go further to the next viewpoint. This time, the panorama of the Szczyrk Valley opens before us.
We are slowly approaching the planned destination of the trip. A pleasant walk is made by beautiful weather.
Finally, we see our target point among the trees.
The ski jump is obviously monitored, so we spend only a few moments admiring the views, which from this perspective can be seen by a few.
Plan made, We can come back.
We already have another plan.
Three roads leave from the place shown in the picture. The first on the left came from the ski jump, the middle road reaches the so-called "saddle", where soon we plan to go, and the road on the right leads to the mountain settlement called Skalite, which it near the summit of Skalite, and is inhabited by only a few families.
Our Lady, in the chapel on the edge of the forest, guards its inhabitants.
On the way back home, we reach the starting point, here we started and finished the Sunday trip.
It is amazing how a couple of weeks can transform the landscape. The ice in the stream is the only indication that winter is being replaced by spring. Amazing views from the ski jump and you are lucky to have walks like that around you.
Now the landscape will change very quickly. Heat will come, the trees will turn green. Soon I will visit this mountain again when spring appears with all its strength.
Hi @ptaku, the first moment I saw the picture reminded me of my grandmothers house in the alps. Not far away from her house was also a ski jump facility which looked really similar to yours.
Also the landscape and the trails were kind of the same :) When I scrolled I saw:
Then I knew we are not talking about the same valley. Thank you for reminding me on great memories with your pictures. It lookes like a fun day.
Cheers buddy
You have beautiful memories, this place in the Alps must be fabulous.
Greetings :)
Woah you've taken really good shots of this forest! The little yellow house that looks like its hiding behind the trees is especially cute :) Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures with us!
Thank you for these kind words.
This trip was very pleasant, I'm glad that the photos are liked.

I know spring means the end of skying season but still, I like the view and happy to see nature waking up. That looks like a lovely place but the ski track is very scary from above. I'm not afraid of height but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable sitting up there waiting to slide down :)
I love these photos a lot, you did a great job. Carry on and steem on :)
They must be bold enough to play this sport, and this ski jump is a normal size - 106 meter hill size. I was once at the mammoth ski jump in Harrachov - 210 meter hill size. It was an extraordinary experience.
I guess it's difficult at first but gets easier by practicing. I don't think skiers are afraid of this track :)
Cool landscape photographs @ptaku. It is always nice to see the beauty in the mix of colors yellow-orange-green during spring. Thanks for sharing!
