Mandela Day empowerment project!

Yay! At last, now they have a computer class.

Today is the Mandela Day centenary in South Africa and in memory of this great peace warrior all citizens are asked to reach out to the poor for 69 minutes.
At Papillon we say; "Reach out to the poor every day"

We also believe in giving a lasting gift, such as quality education!
Let's have a look at today's project!

These are the computers that Papillon donated to the school today!
They have a teacher that doubles as a computer trainer and Papillon will sponsor his training in the latest child IT curriculum!

160 friendly little souls, the children of farm laborer's and the school only has 5 teachers!

Look at those happy little faces and they all know that we are here to help.

I still say that each adult across the world should be a parent, not only to their own children, but to each needy child!

The school was built by a church group on this farm 60 years ago. Yes indeed, it looks dilapidated but there is much love evident between its walls!

Here we have a mobile library that arrived and the children can swap their books every 2 weeks!

And here we are at the back of the school where someone is fixing a broken gutter!

And finally here we have at the back from left to right; Lady Marian Smith (Papillon), Mr. Fraser Baard (School Principal) and Mr. Stephen Smith (Papillon), with a friendly wave to say goodbye at the end of this post!

At least we know that we will sleep well tonight after this great adventure today. To educate a child is to create better tomorrows for everybody. Due to the school's haggard financial situation we simply could not expect any payment from them, but payment was never what this is about.
No money can pay for the emotions that we shared with the little ones today and we were only glad that we could serve them with quality.

To the glory of our God was this done today as a thank you that we were able to make little hearts glad with a lasting gift that will help each of them to improve their lives! This was also our Papillon launch in this new province where we now stay and we hope and pray that we can do so much more in the entire area!

A sincere thank you goes to each person on steemit that partners with us by supporting the @papilloncharity site, as each of you have a share in this great outcome! Thank you and we hope that we make you proud.

Thank you also to each special person for your visit to this post by @papilloncharity

A Dollar A Day is very happy to be supporting the work of Papillon Charity.

I hope you are back to good health as soon as possible, but in the mean time rest well and take it easy.

Trying my best to get there sir, but it seems that as one age, that it takes longer to heal. In the meantime we are trying to keep things going as you saw above, but I must tell you that I miss my preaching duties a lot. Thank you for the care! Blessings! @pennsif

Great way to build a better future.

Visiting from #YourAreHOPE Foundation

Thank you Lady Joan, education is the way! Regarding #youareHope, we do not seem to be making any headway on their site and I think they are too overwhelmed with other work to take notice of our posts! Blessings! @joanstewart

Fabulous stuff. Well done. So happy to see this.

Glad that you liked it Lady Fiona, there are still many mountains for us to move, but we will eat the elephant bit by bit. Not that I'm complaining, but support will always be a problem! Blessings! @fionasfavourites
