Rats & Birds • Combination Photography Contest
Okay... the combination is really plants and animals but I thought rats & birds had a nice ring to it and also... I have two entries for Papa-Pepper's combination photography contest this week; a rat and a bird! The photographs were taken a week ago on a trip to Central Park in NYC.
The first photo shows the greenery with buildings in the distance. The second photo is a nice sized city rat that wandered into the park to chew on some fallen leaves and whatever else he could find. The third photo is perhaps a cardinal although the red feathers are mixed with other natural colors. The bird caught a leaf or bug in it's mouth and I was creeping up on it to get a closer shot but he was quite shy and kept flying away step by step and would not let me get too close. The final photo is a proof of location shot with my iPhone. The first 3 photos were shot with my Canon 5D Mark II with a 70-200 mm EF lens.
