My DSLR Series :: Episode 1 :: a view from the River
Hello steemitians !!!!
Hope you all are all well and enjoying your life!
wish You all a Very Happy New Year!
I know many of you are waiting to watch when I will post photos clicked by my DSLR camera. Well, it's been over a month since I bough my Canon and till then I only posted 1 blog with photos clicked by my DSLR.
It's really a shame but believe me, my tight schedule forbid me to go outside for a photoshoot. I am not a professional photographer, I generally clicked photos with my cell phone whenever I see a beautiful photogenic moment. But when it comes to bring out my camera and goes only for a photoshoot, I am really feeling shy with it.
But as I have told you in my previous blog, some days ago I went to Victoria Memorial Hall with my friend and I took my camera with me as it was a perfect place for photoshoot.
So, here it is.. I am very happy today to represent you my whole day there with lots of photos and moments of my life.
But... I am breaking the whole day in a series of posts so that I can tell you the story behind my pictures. This is episode 1. Hope you all will enjoy!
The place Vicoria Memorial Hall is not only a normal historical place, but also one of the viewed places in India.
To reach there, we had ro cross the largest river of India, Ganges (or Ganga). And when I say the largest, we are talking about a 2525 km long river!
That day, we choosed to cross the river by vessel as I could get some beautiful pictures while crossing the river. Also the marvelous view of Howrah Bridge is very hard to resist as you can see from the first picture.
The important fact about the bridge is there is no pillers attached to it, it is only connected with the two banks of the river, The Howrah city and the other, obviously Kolkata.
This is the newly built the second Howrah bridge. When we were crossing the river, the weather was very foggy as you can understand from the photo. But it still was looking very beautiful then.
Hope you liked my post... 😅

Yes about 20 years ago and I did day trips to there a few times
Nice photos, this almost looked like Staten Island New York but it needs more buildings and the Statue of Liberty 😛 wishing you a happy new year 🎊
