It was extremely cold last night, and when I looked out the window, I saw street lights "beaming" straight up in the air, it was really cool! However, check out the "lights" at the top of the beam, what is that?

Wow that is so weird, thanks for posting these now I have to figure out why that happened haha. Upvoted and followed.
[edit] I found out why: A light pillar is an atmospheric optical phenomenon in the form of a vertical band of light which appears to extend above and/or below a light source. The effect is created by the reflection of light from numerous tiny ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere or clouds. {wikipedia}

I have never seen lights shine upwards before...I wonder if that's bc of the snow? Glad you took those!
