Halloween fun in the UK
Joining in the October 31st fun, in the UK we decorate pumpkins and partake in the "Trick or Treat" house calling with (mostly) younger children. Above is my pumpkin carving effort, not too bad for someone with zero artistic talent (I used a stencil!)
My 7 year old and his school friend decided to be clowns for their school disco, I think they did well with the outfits.
My partner and elder son decorated the outside of the house the welcome the visitors coming for candy.
Including a spooky motion activated character that has flashing eyes and emits a rather chilling screech.
My pumpkin found a seat, but his candle kept blowing out in the wind -_-
The only downside of all the decoration is you do get quite a large number of visitors, some 70 plus bags of sweets given out tonight to visiting ghouls and fiends.

And for last years junior school competition my then six year old did this spooky house (with a little help from his mum)
