Borran's Nature Photography: The Grey Heron (Ardea Cinerea)

This is a Grey heron, it likes to eat fish and usually builds nests high in trees.
About 20 years ago, this bird was quite unusual i Finland, just over 100 pairs. Nowadays they are common, especially in Southern Finland.
Where I live, I've seen them quite often. There is a lake nearby where they seem to thrive.
This particular heron flew right over me and landed on a rock nearby. It stood there for a long time and just enjoyed the sun.
Here are some pictures I took that day.

I know, the Heron's face is overexposed. But I don't have Lightroom right now, so I can't fix it.
