Travel with me: Sailing Greece, Day #6 - Ancient Olive Tree Island
On day six, exhausted by the storm that rocked our boat the whole night, we set our move to Trizonia island. I certainly needed a rest and the only way to forget the nightmare was to use all time sailors and pirates alike favorite substance, and i certainly did not go easy on it.
The weather was still overcast, mostly cloudy with occasional showers until we have arrived to Trizonia to witness some guys who were less fortunate than us.
All you could see was a mast sticking out of the water. What a misfortune.
We were trying to get some more information about it but the only life creature was this goose guarding another boat.
The whole island looked really empty and desolated. Probably that kind of weather not attracting many tourists that day.
With not much to do we started exploring the island and it's slippery slopes.
Everything was red. Even the sunset. It was really interesting ambient light have never seen before. Like walking on Mars.
And no! That's not what you think lol The mud was sticking to the shoes and forming the layers that made it difficult to traverse, like walking while wearing some moon shoes for real :)
After an hour or so of tracking we have found some ancient olive tree plantation.
And did you know that olive trees can grow for 2000 years? And it does not give fruit for about 5-12 after being planted while there are some varieties that give fruit after three years.
After we came back i had to do some repairs on the boat to fix the damage that we have experienced the previous night.
And after watching another amazing sunset we went to have some rest and prepare for the next day's trip.
Stay tuned for further adventure with @BeScouted

Thanks mate, i hope you've enjoyed it and it was not a time wasted :)
That is a awesome post! Some cool pics
Thanks :)
Looks like it's safer to travel with you on Steemit, than on a boat @bescouted ;) Upvoted, resteemed & DPS.
Hah, it might be safer, but... you know it's much more fun on the boat! :) Thank you for your time @photo-trail :)
Oohhhhh, that mud! Eyeewww... But the sunset - you caught it! :D Beautiful...
Yeah, some sticky goo :) And rays through the clouds... they almost match your beautiful sunsets..
Lol... Been there, done that anyway!!! :D Nahhhh - they're great! Any sunset is great! ;)
Got to love your opening pic! Beautiful pictures throughout! I had no idea olive trees lived so long! Thanks for teaching me something! Upvoted :)
I had no idea too, but after seeing some of those trees that looked really ancient i googled it up and viola! Glad you found it somewhat educating too :) Cheers!
The two sunset photos are probably the best sunset pics I've ever seen. Wow.
Like I said, wish I were there... Cheers!
Yes, sunsets at see can be very spectacular :) Thanks mate :)
Those sunrays on the last two photos are amazing!
Am I supposed to see the sunk boat? I don't see anything..
Can you see the mast sticking out of water? That is all that's left of a boat... and she could have sailed the oceans and bring adventure for so many more years... I literally wanted to pull it out of the water :)
That's the thing... I don't see it :/ I need stronger glasses I guess.
But that would mean it is not very deep there so it should be possible to take it out... unless it is not worth it.
It is possible, but it is expensive and not really worth it. But it will be taken out eventually because it obstructs traffic for the other boats.
Ahhh you did you homework :)
