Travel with me: Sailing Greece, Day #4 - Set sail!
The first day's journey was short. We left from Lefkas Marina in Lefkada to Odyseas Marina in Katomeri.
Since charter boats are used by variety of people during the season it is very important to perform extensive and thorough inspection for present damages. In case you miss something you might be charged for it later when you turn in the yacht so it takes 1-2 ours to tick in all those check boxes.
Is is also very important to check all navigational equipment. In our instance we had a wind direction indicator pointing in the wrong direction, so had to wait for another hour until the mechanic came in and did some repairs to fix the issue.
So finally after all checks have been performed we have left the pier.
The day was clear and sunny.
The mood was awesome.
So it was a perfect time to take an image of one of the most photographed objects in the world. FEET lol
Another very important thing to do is to raise your flag. And it is a god idea to apply the most universal tool in the world scotch tape to secure it as winds in open water can get really high and it could simply be torn away.
We have arrived to Odyseas Marina in Katomeri and found a free spot to moor our boat.
And went to explore Katomeri at night.
The day was busy thus not very adventurous but that is how it usually goes. You prepare and get ready for the big adventure that awaits the other day and always have a good rest as you never know what the weather will be in the future.
Stay tuned for further adventure with @BeScouted

Blue blue water and not a single duckface!?
Somehow I imagined a big ass boat! Like those huge cruisers... with expensive champagne glasses and tiny little portions of food :p
Big ass boats are for big ass old dudes. It's yet to come. For now we are nimble and agile :) And there is a duck face :) Look at that dude with over sized white sunglasses and black cap :)
That dude needs to train more on his duckfaces :D
I think that dude has a duckface by birth so no training needed there :)
Hahaha :D
Looks like so much fun. Wish I was there... :(
You are welcome to join :)
Nice dude! I'm relieved to see you didn't get scammed again :)
This time we were really checking everything :)
Haha! I bet you were! :)
A much nicer boat than the floating raft i loaded my truck on haha.
But that makes your story so much more exciting and adventurous :)
