A Walk in the Park: Photographic Short Stories, Volume XVI
The Coastal Waterway, Part II
So there we were, walking down what could have been an endless boardwalk through the swamps and along the waterway. My wife and I were lost on the trail (yeah...I know that doesn't exactly make sense, but go along with it!) and heading east to an unknown destination. This is what happened next...
We looked to the north. There were bushes, trees, some underbrush, and clear skies.
As we approached a little overlook area (far right in this photo), I took in another view to the north (looking south was too bright).
This was our view from the end of the short overlook location. This may be a good place to watch some wildlife, but there didn't appear to be much of it running or flying around that day.
We made our way back to the main path...
The sun was so very bright!
We returned to the main boardwalk for a short trip to...
The end of it! And this was our view looking out to the main waterway in the distance.
We were raised up off of the swamp. (Banana for scale.)
Look at those square shoulders! I'm looking like a superhero more and more every day!
We headed back the way we came...
And we documented some nature-y stuff along the way.
Looking up...
Looking down...
Looking out...
What will happen after we return to the main path? Where will this take us?
Come back next time to find out!
All images taken with my iPhone 6S.

What awesome pictures! That's like a desert swamp type-deal? It's really pretty. That bridge is really cool too.

Hello my friend
Nice photography and also I like it very much this place I feel quiet outside the city congestion is a really nice place
Wow nice pictures, almost can't tell this was taken by a phone. I love natures photos like these, keep up the good work can't wait to see more.
That was really a nice walk. Thanks for sharing. Pinned it on my board :-)
So i was just enjoying the foto reel up until the point i got extremely surprised. "made by my iphone 6S" wow, those pictures are really good for a phone, thought you were using a next level camera. Which apparantly the new iphone is haha :)
I should add, "Results not typical."
I'm not sure what it is, but most people are surprised that these images come from an iPhone...even people who have the same iPhone and take pictures with it!
Guilty as charged! I have an iphone 6 but the pictures i take are in another league from yours. I did read that the 6s had a nice camera upgrade but it is not nearly enough to explain the difference in quality.
square shoulders?
been swimmin?
Awesome pictures! Here's a picture of a wonderful park in Bangkok where I live.
It looks like a pre-desert area .... where is it located? It must be a protected area considering that the walkway is very beautiful and precious.
This is a swampy inland waterway in the southeastern U.S.
The grasses are brown and dry looking because these photos are from late winter - the end of February or early March.
Great Pictures @ats-david beautiful landscape. Upvote and resteemed
Thank you very much!
With pleasure. Greets from Germany
looks incredible and the pictures are top notch!!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Even thought it is a waterway, it looked kind of dry in some areas. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me.
These were taken back in late February/early March, so everything was a little brown from winter. The main waterway was actually a good couple of hundred yards away from the end of the boardwalk. This was mostly just the marsh-like areas that were a lot drier...and we haven't had much rainfall around here since last summer.
In other words: you're eyes are not deceiving you.
