The festival of Diwali, just passed by, couple of days back, also known as "Festival of Lights" is celebrated across the globe with great fervor and joy. Originated and celebrated in India with utmost joy and happiness that the preparations of the festival starts couple of days before the actual festival day. The festivities of Diwali are celebrated in several different ways. But the most important is lighting up the various nooks and corners of the house, which is a real fun and its really gives me absolute eternal joy.

This Diwali was also no different, instead its was more fun, more joy and real happiness everywhere around. Lighting up is such an awesome activity that every member of the family is really interested in to contribute and participate.

Here are some of the special lighting up moments that I am going to share with all of you, have a look at these wonderful pictures as captured by me to make a mark of this special occasion and the celebrations associated with it.

These are Diwali diyas beautifully lit up and in the centre is the terracotta structure/lantern to keep the diyas inside it to beautifully and aesthetically decorate the places around the house. The light coming out from it looks really very beautiful, when kept in places with no electric lights. ( i mean in the dark!!!)

A very big/large or as big as possible and wide too!!!, glass bowl, filled with water, decorated with rose petals and small candles ( very carefully !!!) placed on top of these rose petals, gives an awesome look and feel on the centre tables, side tables around the house with an amazing fragrance of rose petals spread everywhere around the place.

A big and wide metal pot/utensil, was kept at the center of the lobby to light up the area around with very beautiful flowers floating on the water and smokeless tealight candles (popularly used these days!!!) atop gives a stunning look. Truly amazing!!!

Big scented (various fragrances!!!) candles kept with the Lord Ganesha's Idol. Looks so wonderful.

Various different glass pots are available to keep the candles inside. It really imparts such an ambience to the whole place around.

Beautiful candles some absolutely fragrant incense sticks make the whole atmosphere so spiritual. Trust me!!!

Some closeups captured and the amazing colored candles, so brilliant and so stunning! Such moments are really worth enjoying and participating!!!

The most popular are the terracotta diyas which are lit with mustard oil.

Swastika decorated with Lord Ganesha's Idol and some jasmine flower petals floating on the water in the large pot and atop smokeless tealight candles. Awesome moment!!!

We actually started by keeping one candle and then added more to the large bowl.

A decorated and well painted terracotta diya with 11 small lights and the images carved of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and under it very beautiful Rangoli decorated on the floor with different powder colors.
