Rays for Days
Mt. Washington is the highest mountain in the United States that is East of the Mississippi River. Ascending it was by far the most challenging hike I've done in my life, and as a result it was one of the most satisfying to complete! On the descent I was treated to some incredible views looking out over the other White Mountains and at one point I looked out and saw the mountains basked in really defined rays of sunlight. It was one of the prettiest views of my trip, and I just stood there soaking it in for several minutes before taking out my camera and snapping a couple pictures.
