Beaver Pond

I just returned from a week-long solo camping trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It was such a awesome experience, and I was blown away by the natural beauty of a part of the United States that I hadn't previously spent any time in. I did a ton of hiking and as you may have guessed, took lots of pictures along the way. I've just starting sorting through the hundreds of photos that I took over the week, but here's one that I really like.

This is a pond created by a beaver dam built along the edge and preventing water flow out. I stumbled on this when I was wandering along the edge of a stream and loved how still and peaceful the water was. There were also lots of mosquitoes who apparently enjoyed the view too, but still was an awesome experience.
