The Rooster

I remember when I shot this photograph in the cold waters of South Australia all I could think of is this cuttlefish looked like a Rooster. Cuttlefish have great personalities, their buddy language you can tell exactly what type of mood they in. This male is not happy that I interrupted him seeking a female to mate with.

Do you think he looks like a Rooster?

            Such a good photo! I love how cuttlefish use their altering skin pigment to camouflage as well, gives them so many unique variations depending on the environment

              Thanks a lot! I know its crazy, I have some amazing footage of mating cuttlefish and the changes of colours warning off other males is incredible. I'll have to post it

                I can see the Rooster. I had never heard of a Cuttlefish before. I had to look them, they are amazing creatures. Here is a linkto learn more about these master of disguise.
