Persistence is a powerful thing. So is innovation and so is giving a better deal. My last post was about adding more constructive world building things to STEEM and rest of the internet. So I'm going to take several topics and try to add something to the conversation. I'll start with an analysis on one my favorite South Korean movies.

The Real Way Out Requires Transcendence

If you really need to improve the condition of the world or just part of the world, you need to think out of the box and find a solution that is revolutionary. Let's take an example that we all can check out easily. Let's look at cryptocurrency scaling. Bitcoin was built on a Proof of Work consensus mechanism and it can only handle about 4000 transactions in a single lock which is added approximately every 10 minutes. So how could we solve this problem. DPoS completely ditched the idea of PoW consensus and built something else that is completely detached from the old system. DPoS invented a new paradigm. EOS is only few days old and it is handling almost as many transactions as Bitcoin while not having a single popular DAPP working on the platform. Above all it is barely breaking a sweat. @dan had mentioned that the absolute worst case scenario for EOS is handling 1000 Tx/s which means that theoretically the worst EOS could do is handle the 10 minutes worth BTC transaction in 4 seconds.

DashCopay Wallet

Dash isn't too concerned with price movements and they are not trying to sell themselves to geeks or Cypherpunks. Instead they have one of the biggest full time development teams of any crypto project and they have the largest dev team of the projects that didn't get funded by 3rd parties AFAIK and here is what they are building:

• Create and import personal wallets
• Create and join shared wallets (multi-signature)
• Send and receive payments via QR code or copy/paste address
• Create address book
• View transaction history
• Invite friends via email, text or social
• Set local currency
• Set desired network fees to increase/decrease confirmation times
• Touch ID for log in (iOS)

These things can be experienced by users and they can provide a great experience that is even better than a bank or a centralized service. STEEM platform itself is a proof of the awesomeness of DPoS technology. When Dash end the ongoing beta test of their Copay wallet, everybody will be able to experience them. It won't be just an ideal or some Utopia that theoretically exist. Doing a better jo and offering a cheaper service gives great results. Here is one such story;

DTube vs Dlive

Both of these projects have similarities. DTube is YouTube without streaming and Dlive is trying to compete with Twitch but it ended up being much like YouTube and many people are posting on Dlive instead of DTube now.

The 2 projects have received similar levels of support.

But DTube had such a head start and they are promoting themselves as a YouTube alternative. But a great deal of people are simply uploading to Dlive instead of DTube. Why? One thing I realized was that Dtube take 25% beneficiaries while Dlive takes nothing. That's a huge difference. Would you rather pay 25% service fee or nothing? When I saw this I knew that Dlive is going to easily overtake DTube and I believed in the project. I was proven right.

Pay attention to the change in the rank.

@dlive climbed 95182 ranks while @dtube fell 5503 ranks. This is persistence and better service. This is a formula that has lead smaller things to overtake bigger since time immemorial.

Let's Promote Results

These are all success stories that only came out of respect for things like voluntary interactions, free markets, getting the government and regulations out of the way and giving innovation free reign. The greatest and most effective way to inspire someone is to show them something that was deemed impossible and then have that impossibility accomplished. That is why moon landing is still so inspiring. Most people from 19th century would have sworn it to be impossible. These days people are screaming that we can't exist without taxes and governments. I do think both of these things can be used effectively. But I also believe that we can live well off without taxes and governments.

We need to spread more examples of accomplishments and show the world what can be done. Most people have given into apathy because they think they cannot change anything. Let's show them something better.
