THREE MASTER ENERGIES THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

As I searched for a photograph that would depict the message I'm going to share I was kind of stumped. Then I spotted the photo above of the trees reaching up to the light, to the energy of life. I thought I could use that as a metaphor, because the three Master Energies are powers that will sustain and support vibrant living and a fulfilling life. These three Master Energies are: gratitude, forgiveness and loving what is. What? Loving what is? Yes, that is one of the three and I will explain.

First of all, however, we must understand that everything is energy in it's purest form, even our thoughts, our words, photographs, art, music, and our posts here on Steemit. It's all energy. Some energies have a power to build up, sustain, lift, support, encourage, create, ennoble, and move one to Love. Other energies degrade, deplete, destroy, diminish, weaken, shame, and move one toward darkness. Here's the thing: we can choose what energies we want in our lives. Choose from the first list and you will be happy. Choose from the other list and you will be miserable. Simple as that. And we do have the power to choose.

GRATITUDE

I promise the three Master Energies have the power to change your life for the better. Let's start with gratitude. Gratitude is like a spiritual Windex. If ones life is depressing, discouraging, messed up, or even F###ed up the energy of gratitude can change that. This is not just a mental game it is reality. Gratitude has the power to erase negative energies and replace them with a very strong positive energy.

I recall a period of life I went through that was terribly dark and depressing. This was not just a bump in the road. It was not just a short-term situation that most of us go through. This was a decades long dive into darkness. There were many things I did that led me out of darkness but one of the most effective, surprisingly, was practicing gratitude. A friend of mine told me about his "gratitude journal" that he wrote in every morning without fail, and he encouraged me to try it. I began the practice, which I admit was challenging in the beginning. I struggled to write a paragraph; but gradually over time i got into the swing of things and not only did I become an avid gratitude fan, but the practice washed away so much negative energy I had built up that it truly did change my life. It has become a practice I continue to do, and one that has made my life so much better. Frankly, I am very grateful for gratitude.

I strongly encourage you to try it out. It really works, because it is a Master energy and has the power to dispel lesser energies. Truly it does. Try it. Get yourself a journal and every morning, or night, write all the things you are grateful for. Here is a pic of a one of my entries:

FORGIVENESS

This being human is the hardest thing I've ever done. Like many of you I've held bitterness, anger, frustration, and even hatred in my heart. I know what it is like to be full of darkness. i know. The only way out is to forgive. This, like gratitude, is another spiritual Windex. Forgiveness releases YOU from the grip of darkness. Certainly to forgive can be a great blessing to those who have wronged you but by far the greatest beneficiary of gratitude is YOU. You will be free of the darkness that quite literally can consume you and ruin your life. The fact is that if you continue to bathe yourself in the shit of anger and bitterness you will literally attract more of the same. We live in an interactive, responsive cosmos. The energies that you create attract more of those same energies, until you become the one who is cursed, is darkened, is lost. Forgive. Forgive. Free yourself. Plead with God or your higher power, whatever that may be, to give you the power to forgive.

And who should you forgive the most? Yourself. None of us are perfect. We all are fools. We all make mistakes, but I promise you that you can search the world over and you will find no one more deserving of love and forgiveness than yourself. Forgive yourself. Be free of the burden of darkness. This may take time and effort. But the miracle of forgiveness can be yours if you sincerely seek it.

LOVING WHAT IS

A young man who I have been a foster parent to hates stupid drivers. It's a pet peeve of his that he nurtures and adds to on a daily basis. it got to the point about a month ago where he was actually beginning to exhibit road rage. I was concerned for his safety and future, and of course was concerned he might cause an accident that might injure someone else. So I confronted him. First of all I told him we live in a strange cosmos, it responds to our intentions and energies. He has heard this from me many times and he knows it's true. I told him that as weird as it may sound his anger with stupid drivers only makes it worse... the universe will make sure that wherever he goes stupid drivers will almost magically appear. And then we discussed what would happen should he lose his temper and cause an accident. A credit to him...he actually listened.

Here is the rational argument however: would his rage change anything? Would stupid drivers somehow change into better drivers? Would his anger do any good, at all? Of course the answer is no. His anger would change nothing. So he had a choice, he could continue to be angry and let that infuse his life and make him miserable, or he could accept what is and work with it. By working with it I mean he can take different routes. He can avoid rush hour. He could even move to the country where there are fewer drivers.

Aa credit to him, he actually has been working on changing his behavior, but it's kind of funny, yesterday he told me he wants to move to a rural location! Well, that's not a bad idea anyway.

The main thing I want to get across here is that he realized he could not change what is, and that the only power he has (which is a huge power once one knows how to use it) is to manage his own mind, his own energies. He is the creator of his own reality.

Let me expand upon this thought. You and I cannot change the past. It is what it is. We cannot change what is in this moment. Let's say that tomorrow I break my leg. Of course I'll be upset. I'll be in pain. I'll be frustrated and so forth. But ultimately I'll still have a broken leg and of course the only thing I'll have control over is my mind, the energies I create.

It is rather amazing at how we humans react to crappy situations. We'll hold onto the crap and smear it in our hair and roll in it and tell everyone all about it and ... well you know what I mean. We grasp ahold of the negative energy and will keep it. We give up our power to others, to situations, to the past. I do not propose we turn a blind eye to injustice, to injury, to crap. Nope, not at all. In the voice of Forrest Gump, "...shit happens." But we CAN let go of the our crappy behaviors and attitudes. This requires a huge transformation in behavior that many avoid like the plague. It requires we become responsible. Responsible for our own happiness. It requires we accept what is.

Yes, shit happens, it is what it is. Are you going to hug that shit to death or are you going to let it go? Letting go is the third Master Energy. Practice letting go of all the negative energy you create about things, about life. Why shouldn't you? Don't you want to be happy?

Steem_divide.png

Just so you know, I for one have not yet learned to walk on water. I'm still learning how to manage my own mind and behaviors. I still practice gratitude, and forgiveness and letting go, accepting what is. I'll be practicing the rest of my life I am sure. But I have to tell you, I'm much happier now, much more at peace, much more pleasant to be around, much more loving and compassionate. Life is better for me because I have accepted responsibility for my own thoughts. Ultimately, this is the key is it not?

Beautiful post, Christopher! Thank you so much for your dedication to shining you own special light as you do. I am reminded of the following I wrote many years ago:

I will never forget the spirit of joy I saw in the eyes of the poorest man I have ever seen in a wheelchair with no legs going from car to car at a stop light in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, giving everyone a high 5 and a blast of happiness that I had never known before. That was my first trip outside of the United States in my early 20's and marked a major turning point in my life that opened my eyes to the amazing world of discovery and adventure that we have been given the opportunity to explore and learn so much from. I truly hope that you, the readers of this site, can close your eyes and imagine what a deep lesson I learned from that man of just how much of a difference the simple choice we each have of appreciating life can make. I thought to myself, if a man living in such absolute poverty who doesn't even have any legs can be so ecstatically happy, why can't you and I? Since then I have seen far more smiles on the faces of the poorest of the poor in the world than those of us in the so called "civilized world" have.

Many blessings

Thanks for sharing that experience. I think you should make a post of it. But it's true isn't it? I've been miserable most of my life because I was not a powerful dynamo of a businessman making millions. That would have been exactly contrary to what I needed this lifetime. Now I am so, so grateful for the simplest things. My bedroom, the field behind the house, that I can walk every day in nature, that my kids love me. And most importantly, that from a life of despair came the miracle of love. I can love. I can't tell you how profound that is for me. Many blessings.

That was actually in one of my earlier posts which seemed to first attract one of the steem bots and then steemcleaners to punish me for copying it from my own site, even though I had a link to my site in the post...

That's beautiful, though, Christopher. That's where the real priceless millions are at. Many Blessings to you too, my friend, for an awesome weekend.

You are making a remarkable recovery. I really admire and respect that. Doubt I would have done it... but perhaps.

Chores to do today. Got to get the swamp cooler going. Supposed to be in the 90's this coming week.

I just follow my passion here mostly. Not many posts the last month or two.

I spend most of my social media time on Minds with far more success than Steemit. You are one of maybe 2 friends left here who still hasn't setup shop over there too. You make crypto, not limited like steemit, no whales, far better visibility. One of the few areas steemit wins out is in the html markup offered here in posts/comments. I've gotten 3 times the subscribers and followers on steemit in half the time with over 136,000 views. If nothing else Steemians can simply post a link to their steemit posts, in part because steemit posts look better on Minds than Steemit (LOL), can get more visibility than on steemit and some steemians on Minds see, click over to upvote and comment on steemit as well. Of course you have to network, subscribe, like (no limits) remind (like resteem) and comment and doing so you get a share of the daily rewards. I even make crypto on the days I don't log on. Many Blessings

I took a look briefly, but it seemed to me it was more like Facebook. Lots of memes and pictures with quotes. You know that kind of stuff. I didn't really see any posts like what we have here. Writing. Did I miss something? Sounds like it.

I must confess, I am not interested in another Facebook kind of thing.

So illuminate my mind...from your comment it sounds like there are deeper posts over there. Whats the standard? Appreciate your help on this.

Hi Christopher, Yeah, Minds is a real social media platform much like facebook and twitter, but where free speech and privacy still reign fairly well. Steemit really doesn't have either (especially privacy) and isn't that much of a social network per se, but more a blog with very little visibility, because of all it's inherent flaws and bots to try and compensate. There is a blog section on Minds, but it, like Facebook and twitter, is where people often post their blog links from there or other sites to in order to drive traffic. As you say, it also is mostly, pics, quotes, videos, all kinds of stuff. etc., because, simply put, that's what reaches the most masses. In half the time as here I've gotten in far more deeper conversations and made more active and engaging friends there than here largely because of the visibility.

There are a lot of people who are on both and post their steemit links, where the steemit graphics actually look better, amazing enough, to both get paid credit on Minds, if you network correctly to build a following who like and pass it on, as well as drive more traffic to steemit. Lots of people do that. I know many people who tried to join steemit on Minds, but steemit hasn't been allowing new members on the last few months at least as of several weeks ago, because of all the fake accounts and bot accounts to game the system.

I can tell you I make many times more there than on steemit. It now seems fairly easy to make $10-15 a day ($300-450/month) just sharing, networking, subscribing, liking, reminding (like resteeming) and commenting a few hours a day just like any other social network and the mainnet for rewards still hasn't gone totally live. In fact there are days I haven't been able to go on and still made something, because of my subscribers still liking and reminding. Plus, they have an active referral program too. So it makes it easier to tell people about. That's not to say Minds is anywhere near perfect, but they are the best one I know of with the most pros at the time.

Hmnn... so what is your name or tag over there? I'll have to come check it out. And I'm assuming they use a cryptocurrency. What is it? Is it redeemable in $$? How long have you been in MInds? Does one develop "communities" like here? How many people are over there? Is it a blockchain platform too?

And what of EOS? Will they have a system like Steemit that they either promote or facilitate?

I love the excerpt from your gratitude journal. You state what you are grateful for, but also why you are grateful. I think that is key. Also, gratitude and forgiveness like spiritual Windex? Brilliant.
Let's all stop hugging the shit.

Well thanks @lizzyib! Many blessings. Hope to see you around.

"Loving what is", John Grey once, or more than
once said we need to learn 2 want what we have.
That right there is a good gratitude exercise. We
all have stuff that we continue to want but we've
just forgotten. Normally we might not remember
this until that thing is gone. MM I've been trying
to get a hold of the interview you did with your
daughter but YouTube is being a bish so I shall
continue to wait faithfully. I'm starting to think
that you got filtered for a specific reason. Yet, I
am a very conspiratorial type of thinker.

Actually there was a bit of a glitch in getting it to play when posted, but my daughter was able to post her latest interview from yesterday and finally got it to work. Now she is working on the one with me. I'll let you know when she gets it up. Blessings. Oh, and thanks for stopping by and reading the post and commenting!

She had posted a screen shot on that original thread and it showed a little padlock under the video with you in it. Then I looked up locked YouTube videos and learned that YouTube sometimes will lock videos as private if they don't like the metadata or tags that were chosen. Like for example if you tube determines the tags might not fit the content of the video then apparently they reserve the right to lock it as private. I say that in advance because I know she's tried uploading it multiple times. However, on her end being that she's logged into the account she can view her private video with no problems because it's her video. So yeah, kind of confusing, YouTube seems to be creating it's own memory hole. More info here.

Thanks. I will copy this and forward to her. I suspect this is exactly what is happening. Blessings.

Good news, it's working!

Blessings!

What a great philosophy @mistermercury 😊
Gratitude is for sure the highest thing to apreciate, and what would we do without love and forgiveness 😊❤
Wishing you a wonderful day my friend 😊

Thank you. I hope, you too, have a great day. Blessings.

Hi @mistermercury

You are open minded. The most insane post I have come across is one by @jetblake - https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@jetblake/is-our-reality-like-we-think-it-is-maybe-not

The interview is long but it will blow your mind.

I'll make a note to listen later tonight. I just got done listening to a 2 hours presentation on the Annunaki. Oh my! Brain freeze.

God @dpl you just want my brain to boil over don't you? I go to @jetblakes blog and check out some of his stuff and my brain just starts to melt. I've yet to go to yours and see what things you've conjured up to disrupt my peaceful world of ignorant bliss. Blessings.

lol @mistermercury.

@jetblake is a rogue scientist that has some insane ideas and inventions. At least you can say you will never be bored going through his work.

One thing I have noticed is that this life is a lot more interesting than what I've been thinking.

Oh yes it is. The Cosmos is much more than we ever dreamt. One of my favorite quotes is from Shakespeare: There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in our philosophy. Hamlet.

I'll have to check out @jetblack. Sounds interesting.

I have you on automatic upvote, so often you’ll see my upvote when I haven’t actually read your post yet. It seems you’ve actually been posting at times I’m not online lately, so this is my first post of yours I’m coming across in a while, and I actually had to deliberately navigate to your blog through your profile page to find it. Well I’m so glad I made the extra effort!

I just couldn’t agree more with what you’ve said here. I’d elaborate, truly making peace with our own perfect imperfection is probably the most important thing we can do if we want a happy life. We have to take a default stance of “yes” toward ourselves, even as we continue to grow and change. If we can do that, then things just keep getting better. If we reject ourselves just because we aren’t perfect yet, because we make mistakes and don’t know everything, then it all just keeps getting worse.

I too have faced some decades of true suffering and despair. I wasn’t able to turn it around with gratitude for what was, because I just couldn’t see it. But the good news is, our minds can’t actually tell the difference between what is real and what we’re just imagining!

Without even realizing what I was doing until just now as I read your post, I was practicing gratitude through imagining scenarios as I wanted them to play out, then letting myself feel the joy of them. Sometimes I’d add in a little ritual I’d found somewhere that was supposed to create improved situations, but mostly I just wrote poems, or stories, or just daydreamed uplifting scenarios.

Now sometimes that can make things worse, because as you say, people want to meditate on everything that’s wrong, as if that’s going to help anything. And I did have some of that going on. But thankfully I had just a bit more focus on the joy of my imagination, and the gratitude that naturally arose in response, than I had focus on my difficult life situations. So often time, I left enough of an opening that things could start changing. And as I stand here today, it’s easy to practice gratitude for what is, because it has all shaped itself into something easy to appreciate. But I still know that I must not rely on that, and don’t have to. No matter how hard it is to appreciate what is, it is still within reach so long as we take responsibility for our own minds.

Thanks for this great post.

I'm glad you made your way here too. I do the same thing... autovote. But I find I miss some posts of people I value. So I'm going to have to be more diligent in making sure I manually go through my autovote list and read posts.

However, I am uplifted by your presence here on Steemit. I think we contribute to the overall vibration/frequency of Steemit with good posts and comments. I thank you for your thoughtful and uplifting comments. Blessings.

Hello, I actually stumbled on your pose right before going to bed, realized it was to deep in my state of mind and upvoted remembering to comeback today to read it. I don't do the whole auto anything so investing the vote was my way of remembering.

I struggle with many of the things you say, despite knowing these things for many years. Forgiveness came to my attention years ago, and while I have worked on some of it, I really struggle with when it collides with loving what is. I find it a difficult bridge to cross when those who are to be forgiven continue to due and act in the ways I feel they need forgiven for. In some cases even amplifying the ways that seek to rob and intrude from myself and others. Not sure I will ever get this mastered honestly as there is only so many ways one can avoid the intent of others.

Thank you for sharing the lessons you have learned to lighten some of your burdens friend.

I don't know your particular situation, but being forgiving as far as I'm concerned does not mean opening yourself up to abuse repeatedly. I'll forgive someone but I will not allow myself to be abused if at all possible. I suspect you are the same way.

Yes. I certainly understand. How does one continue to forgive one who repeats poor behavior? Let me ponder that, wave my magic wand over my keyboard and see If I can come up with something realistic.

Anyway, thanks for the comment. I'll be making my way over to your blog tonight. Peace.

Life is better for me because I have accepted responsibility for my own thoughts.

You can not be responsible for others thoughts or actions. The sooner we accept that the better off we are. We may not like seeing what others are responsible for, but we can not change it. All we can do is lead by example and hope that is enough.
