The Human Hadamard Gate - An Easy To Understand Discussion about Quantum Physics, Philosophy, Reality and Consciousness

(Namely: The Consequences of Conscious Choice vs. Living By Default)

Source

As the title suggests, this article is not targeted toward quantum physicists and other brainiacs, but towards every thinking individual.

I will neither bore you, nor overwhelm you with any complex, difficult to understand scientific concepts or mathematical theorems.

If necessary, I will provide - mostly in my own words - the simplest definition or explanation that I possibly can come up with in regards to quantum theory; but primarily as it relates to our main topic.

As usual, brazenly and without remorse, I have included a couple tidbit "semi-tangents" (typed in italics) simply because, in my humble opinion, they are intriguing facts to know.

Related websites and video URL links are the green colored hyperlinks (also in italics).

The end goal of this article is to enable you to confidently answer this question:

"Who Controls Your Personal Hadamard Gate?"

But first, we must explain "The Quantum State"...

The Quantum State

Source

Before we define what a Hadamard Gate is, it is important to first understand what is meant by the term "The Quantum State".

The Quantum State is when quantum particles have yet to pop into and out of discrete points of space and time.

In this Quantum State resides ALL possibilities, ALL potentialities of something becoming this or that, and ALL the ways a situation may turn out; that is, ALL possible outcomes from any given point of departure.

In short, the Quantum State is "The Everything" that "Something" comes out of.

BTW, Quantum Theory states (and has mathematically proven) that everything already exists.

This means that, at any given moment, the experience of our life states (locale, socioeconomic status, health, age and even gender - much like quantum particles) can literally be this, that, or anything in between.

And it [the manifestations of experiential state] could be anything, something or nothing - existing nowhere, and yet existing everywhere.

But that's a topic for another discussion.

So, let's move on to the Hadamard Gate...

What is the Hadamard Gate in Quantum Computing?

Source

In quantum computing and specifically the quantum circuit model of computation, a quantum gate (or quantum logic gate) is a basic quantum circuit operating on a small number of qbits.

They are the building blocks of quantum circuits, like classical logic gates are for conventional digital circuits.

Unlike many classical logic gates, quantum logic gates are reversible.

Source

Now in Plain English

Basically, the Hadamard Gate is responsible for bringing things in and out of the Quantum State one instance at a time; meaning:

Out of ALL possibilities, the Hadamard Gate only allows one (and only one) to be observed mathematically (or manifested in our reality).

With that in mind, I urge you to think how profoundly that affects your perception of reality, our consciousness.

Think hard.

With regard to Humanity and Consciousness, this a BIG DEAL.

Why?

Because it is Your Personal Hadamard Gate that allows you only one thought, out of all the things in the universe you could ever think about in this lifetime, to enter your mind.

And this thought becomes your predominant mindset, the focus of your attention for that moment of your life.

Thoughts About Thoughts

Source

From the musings of the great philosophers to the study of quantum mechanics, the question of reality, life, and how our thoughts affect our experience and the environment has/is the crux of Humanity's exploration, the irresistible impetus that drives us to continue investigating, testing and evaluating.

Modern science is just now confirming the validity of many ancient concepts about thought and its affect on external circumstances.

These ideas can be found extensively throughout ancient texts, documented by the scribes of ancient civilizations from thousands of years ago.

Those ideas have been preserved mainly via religious ceremonies, rituals, and foundational belief's in almost all of the ancient Asian religions.

And you can still observe their major influence in today's so-called "primitive" cultures.

Everything Is Ultimately Energy

Source

Everything is alive with energy - even the space that was once believed to be empty.

Quantum physics has proved that everything is filled with quantum particles that constantly shift from particle to wave and back again.

The old notions of our bodies, objects, stars and the universe being comprised of 99.9% empty space has been effectively debunked.

Quantum physicists have conducted countless experiments proving that everything, including the space in a vacuum is brimming with energy - quantum particles that pop into and out of discrete points of space and time, but actually exist in all places (as potentialities, as infinite possibilities).

Source

As the famous "Schrödinger's Cat" thought experiment explains, the mere act of observing them [quantum particles] can actually influence how they will manifest and behave.

Source

See: (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrödinger%27s_cat)

In fact, most Quantum Physicists believe the whole range of potentialities of a Quantum State collapses to a single point upon observation.

(Others believe the universe splits into multiple universes as soon as a decision is made and we can only perceive the one we enter.)

This evidence shows how powerful we - as thinking individuals - really are.

It also illustrates the significance of every choice that we make or not make; that is, consciously choose or accept by default.

Whichever happens, that choice or non-choice becomes our experiential existence.

Simply stated, our choice on what to directly focus on determines what does or doesn't manifest in our personal realities.

(Here's a great video that my friend @vimukthi introduced to me that explains this "spontaneous creation" phenomena:)

Another example of how our thoughts can influence our environment are the acclaimed experiments by Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto:

Source

Masaru Emoto (江本 勝 Emoto Masaru, July 22, 1943 – October 17, 2014) was a Japanese author, researcher, photographer and entrepreneur, who claimed that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water.

Emoto's conjecture evolved over the years, and his early work explored his belief that water could react to positive thoughts and words, and that polluted water could be cleaned through prayer and positive visualization.

Since 1999, Emoto published several volumes of a work entitled Messages from Water, which contain photographs of ice crystals and their accompanying experiments.

Emoto's ideas appeared in the movies Kamen Rider: The First and What the Bleep Do We Know!?.

Thought - A Living Entity

Source

“Thoughts are Things"...

Only a few years ago an expression of this kind would have caused the significant lifting of eyebrows, and the equally significant wagging of heads—it would have given rise to the suspicion of extreme “queerness.”

But today, surrounded as it is, with equally wonderful statements regarding the natural phenomena of life and the universe, it is accepted at least as possible and quite in keeping with other scientific ideas, by those who keep abreast of the advanced thought of the day.

The Time Is Always "Now" - And Your Role In It

Source

Your time and my time is always "now".

The past is just a "now" we are remembering. The future is just a "now" we are envisioning. These are marvelous capabilities of the human mind. - JaiChai

In fact, with enough concentration and feeling, the mind can enable a person to physiologically relive a past "now" or a future "now"; complete with all forms of stimuli (e.g., visual, proprioceptor, auditory, olfactory, etc.).

In this linear perception of human life, your thoughts predate your experiential "now" by a mere fraction of a millisecond.

Your thoughts are the origin of your actions and subsequently, your actions affect your future "now"; and therefore, your thoughts are THE FIRST, MOST IMPORTANT causative entity in your life.

Pause and ponder that for a second or two.

(Again, think hard.)

Your thoughts are the progenitors of your behavior; hence, your experiential existence depends on them.

Whatever you're thinking "now" dictates your experience from this point forward.

And the beautiful thing about all of this is?

It's not dependent on anything external. It's totally an internal endeavor and with practice, under each person's complete control.

Imagine that?

"Man's Search for Meaning"

(The Power Of Choosing Your Thoughts)

Source

"Man's Search For Meaning" by Dr. Victor Frankl is one of my most favorite books about how choices impact the human condition.

If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend that you do.

You will definitely come away from it with many new insights about life and your own reality.

About Dr. Victor Frankl

Source

Viktor Emil Frankl (26 March 1905 – 2 September 1997)was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist as well as a Holocaust survivor.

His best-selling book Man's Search for Meaning (published under a different title in 1959: From Death-Camp to Existentialism, and originally published in 1946 as Trotzdem Ja Zum Leben Sagen: Ein Psychologe erlebt das Konzentrationslager, meaning Nevertheless, Say "Yes" to Life: A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp)...

...it chronicles his experiences as a concentration camp inmate, which led him to discover the importance of finding meaning in all forms of existence, even the most brutal ones, and thus, a reason to continue living.

Source

While he was a prisoner in a Nazi Death Camp, Dr. Victor Frankl noticed that the only commonality between survivors and non-survivors was that the survivors consciously chose their thoughts; while the others did not.

In short, those who decided what thoughts to think survived.

They had to.

Why?

Because in their minds, they were destined for greater, more fulfilling things.

They forced themselves to keep thinking about their life's purpose; about what they still were meant to do and why they needed to continue living.

Each person's purpose was different.

The purpose could have been a loved one they had been separated from and wanted to see again; if only for one last time.

Or it could've been a personal goal, academic or professional achievement that they believed they could accomplish and desperately wanted to attain.

The point is this:

In spite of all the death and dying around them, these people survived the Nazi Death Camps when millions of others perished because they took conscious control of their thoughts.

In other words, they kept a constant, vivid vision of the "who, what and where they ultimately were meant to be" in their minds 24/7.

Consequently, their actions "followed where their eyes were looking" - which was predicated by the thoughts they held in their mind.

"You Go Where You're Looking; You Look Where You're Thinking"

Source

For those Death Camp prisoners, in spite of the horrendous conditions, their thoughts produced internal physiological changes, as well as external, observable actions; making sure each person went exactly "where their minds were thinking".

The act of consciously choosing their thoughts literally saved their lives.

An Observer AND Participant in Your Life

Source

Thinking about your own thoughts is hard.

It forces one to face themselves and realize that maybe they don't particularly like what they see. In fact, it can be so distasteful (and feared) that almost everyone will do anything to avoid it.

It's much easier to succumb to the mind-numbing distractions around us.

For example, it's nothing to flip on the television, get lost in a computer game, or spend countless hours chatting online.

And it doesn't take very long to get habituated and never even question why.

Unknowingly, you are giving that "all-important choice" of how to spend your precious time to the whims of other entities (e.g., the media, the government, religion, charitable organizations, relatives, friends, etc.).

But the skill of being both an observer AND a participant in your life is essential to making conscious choices.

Otherwise, a person's path in life is determined by the choice of other people.

In other words, you must build your conscious choice skills, or live by your environmental default choices.

"If you don't have the wherewithal to make conscious choices, you are dooming yourself to a life "By Default".

Consequently, you cannot sit at that crucial, life-determining decision table; and therefore, you must accept crumbs from the table - meaning: You only get the leftovers, whatever is left after everyone else has chosen.

It's either discipline your thoughts or accept your fate; a fate that's designed for mediocrity.

And this existence of "Silent Desperation" is a life filled anxiety, depression, anger and regret." - JaiChai

Think of this:

"...The biggest reason why people lament spending time and effort on something that yields absolutely nothing - totally fruitless - is because they don't consciously choose what to pay attention to.

Source

Conclusion

Source

Never forget that a Hadamard Gate is not a one-way gate.

And contrary to classical logic gates, Quantum Logic Gates are reversible;

Hadarmard Gates take all the possibilities from a quantum state, collapse it into one thing and bring it into your reality; but they can easily go the other way and take it from "now" and move it back into the pile of potentialities.

That means your past choices in life don't mean that you are doomed to a life "By Default".

Now that you know the power of thought, its effects on your experiential existence, and that you have the innate ability to consciously choose your thoughts, your mind's focus (the things you attend to that inevitably manifest your reality), again, I ask you:

"Who Controls Your Personal Hadamard Gate?"

The choice can be yours (or not)...
