You Are Your Choices - Stop Fucking Complaining

You Are Your Choices

I saw it so many times, people complaining about their situation but watching endless hours of shitty TV at the same time, whining that they are not making enough while wasting money on iPhones and bling-bling when their only source of income is a McDonald's job instead of saving or investing that money.

Most of the people, out of 16 waking hours, besides using 8 for their job, they are wasting the other eight on stuff that will not pay them anything back like watching TV, reading about Kim Kardashian's latest ass surgery, playing video games or just looking at how “amazing” some people’s lives are on Facebook or Instagram.

Scroll-downers crying that they don’t have enough time to do what they love, their relationships are shitty or that they hate their lives when all they do with their free time is to waste it.

Fortunes are not built within the working hours nor the working days but on weekends, free days and spare time. Don’t expect to change your situation if all you’re willing to give away is eight hours per day in a job; you have to invest more time. Outwork everybody, and you’ll be the best, no weekends, no holidays and no spare time until you make it.

Stop Fucking Complaining

If you choose to waste your precious time on useless shit that will not pay you anything but only steals from you the only thing that you can’t get more of, time, then don’t you dare fucking complain about your current situation, if you don’t enjoy your life, change it. It’s that simple, life seems so complicated but in fact is simple.

You are not making enough money? Get a second job even a third job, don’t sleep at all. Save everything, cut off your TV, reduce your phone bills, sell your iPhone and get a shitty phone with buttons, sell your car and downsize from an apartment to a small studio apartment. Invest everything you have in something that you believe in. If you’re not willing to pay the price for greatness and spend only 50% of what you make instead of 150%, then do not dare to cry that you don’t have enough money.

Are your relationships shitty? Find a mentor and learn everything that you can learn about human psychology and relationships, read, watch, listen and most important put everything in practice. Are you not willing to spend 4 hours on stuff like these? Quit watching TV, playing video games and scrolling down on Instagram, quit wasting your time with useless shit and invest all of your spare time into improving yourself. If you are not willing to cut off all the distractions, don't you dare fucking whine that you can’t get laid.

Do you want to make something on Steem? Go out there, make hundreds of comments every day, spend endless hours on Discord just talking with people because you like it, join communities and projects, work for free, help around and post a lot. If you’re not willing to spend 10 hours per day on this platform, do not fucking complain that you’re a minnow and you’re not making any money.

And so on, so on.

Conclusion

What I’m trying to say is that you have to put in the work if you want to accomplish something, you are your choices. If you choose to use your time wisely and invest it in meaningful stuff, then it will pay you back tremendously in the future. But don’t you dare fucking cry that you haven’t accomplished your goals if you’re still scrolling down on Instagram and watching fucking TV.

You can’t change your past, but if you don’t enjoy your current situation, you can take action and choose to do something worthy of your time. Maybe a few years or months from now you will look back at this moment, proudly that you decided to ditch all the stupid shits from your life and take action.

I’m talking from experience only; I did not get here by whining but by putting in the work and taking action. I'm making one grand on a single post this week at the current price so don't you dare tell me that this is not going to work for you.

You can accomplish what you want but there’s a price that you have to pay but if you’re not willing to pay it don’t you dare fucking cry that you’re not doing well.

Preach. Thanks for saying what many don't because it may hurt feelings of people they care about. Well, if you really cared about them, you would help them improve instead of letting them rot away doing the daily mundane activities plus complaining.

I was told this yesterday: that "genius" person in your class isn't born a genius. They put in the work, learned how to code in x language, and excelled at it way before they came to class. They weren't born knowing the language. They've already put in the hours years ago so now they can fly by the course.

No one ever made it without putting a substantial amount of work. There's a lot that went on in between the "before" and "after" phases. Great post!

It's always good, to be frank, and tell people your opinion. Huh, you see, the individual you want to help needs to want change, to be improved too or you will not be able to give him a hand. I have real life friends on Steem that are not making anything, and I told them what they have to do to gain some awareness for their blog, but they are too lazy to do it.

Sadly most people just focus on the "after," the outcome, on where are you at now and forget about what you did to get there and call you lucky. There's a lot more to the journey than the destination. ;)

the individual you want to help needs to want change

This is the main thing! I'm surprised your friends won't take your advice. Who wouldn't wanna learn how to be successful from someone who's doing well? People blow my mind.. This is where them wanting to learn is crucial.

and forget about what you did to get there and call you lucky.

Ugh. This must feel frustrating but hey, you know how hard you worked so let the haters hate haha

He knows that what I'm telling him is the way to do it but as he stated it, he's too lazy to do it, people you know.

Well, so far no one called me lucky since I'm not that successful but I have whale friends, and I know how frustrating it might be for them. :D

amazing article, especially in steemit we have a lot of people complaining and jalous from others, if they don't earn that much from steemit they say that this is the fault of the community but not theirs because they are not doing nothing useful for it, if some one work hard and earn good money they say that he is steeling pool or something like that.

Everybody can do the good, everybody can acheive success, we have to try and to work hard and never give up but not complain like little kids.

The community still has some obvious issues but mostly, individuals have the power to choose if they want to make money or not.

Very insightful stuff!! We completely agree with you too!! That's why we give up our income for half of the year and go traveling instead!!! It's not a conventional lifestyle.. it does ln't come without it's fair share of sacrificing and limiting of our spending on anything we do or own.. but it's the only thing in life that makes us feel richer, living all these crazy, wonderful, new experiences!!!

You said we should let you know when we have new posts, so here we are, up to date finally on our time in Sri Lanka!! We were separated from our computer for a couple weeks while trekking in Nepal so we've been a little inactive. But we're reunited now and we've got a ton of new material to write about.. including our jungle safari on FOOT through bengal tiger, rhino and wild elephant territory!!! Keep an eye out 😁

Do more of what makes you happy, for me life is all about that.

I won't be able to nominate the post for OCD since we're taking a Christmas break right now but feel free to tag it #ocd-resteem and I will be able to nominate it for a resteem. ;)

No worries, we appreciate the help.. We still have so much to learn :D

So fucking true. Also, I love the picture with the painted TV's. That's in a place called Slab City in California. Worth checking out if anyone gets the chance.

A very important article is a topic worth reading
I have been upvote

Yup, Slab City seems amazing. Have you been there?

"Everything that happens is intrinsically like the man it happens to."

Huxley. Point Counter-Point.

Oh man, this is so well put, it's like the world is your mirror. :)

Great article pulling no punches - shame that those who probably need to read this most will never take the time to read it eh! I have been active here on Steemit for about 3 weeks and earnt a little which is encouraging but, more importantly managed to hook up with some great people and raise my rating to 44. I am tending to be glued to my computer for hours daily as I create unique content, comment and day trade crypto - what fun :) All that said and I still make time for Instagram; a girl has to have her fix! :) Thanks, and cheerio for now xox

Thank you. Sadly, you are right; they will probably just skip it and watch some stupid TV show or not even open it.

It's all about community, that is precisely how I started too. No one could take me away from the computer and they still can't. It's all about engaging in the community.

This article is exactly what I needed and I think steemit doesn't have enough edgy articles like this because everyone on this platform wants to be nice and not offend anyone. I recently started posting on Steemit again after a two month hiatus. I couldn't justify why I stopped posting other than cause I wasn't embracing the grind enough and was lazy. Now I'm a lot more committed to sticking with it and this article really resonates with how I'm feeling right now. This is a solid post that really adds value.

finall_1_1.giffinal.gif

I'm glad to hear that. I'm trying to write edgy articles now and then, fuck being nice and fuck people if they get offended. ;)

I've seen it happening quite a few times, people either giving up or slowing down because they don't have the motivation to post since they are not making anything. Find what suits you best, for me, joining communities and making friends helped me a lot.

Also, I like your designs, where can we talk? I might have something on my mind. ;)

Thank for the advice man. You can hit me up on discord @laabo-afolabi#9957. Let me know what ideas you have!

You may have the impression like your post is straight to the point and you have just given us the recipe for success, but I cannot fully agree with the content you provided.
I do not want to enter the depths of the ocean of dependence when it comes to making decisions, however I will give you a brief explanation of my point of view using your post as an example.
If our decisions were just products of some internal dialogue of our minds, your post would have been totally useless, without a chance to influence our way of thinking.
In my opinion, every decision we make is influenced by a set of variables, for example people or events that took place in our lifes - that is why different people have different perspectives.
It may be easy to blame idiots for being idiots, but every idiot is a product of circumstances and abilities and not just thier own, bizarre minds.
In other words, do not just judge people for thier choices, but help them to make the the good ones.

FUCKING LOVE IT. I have been sick of hearing people complain about their inaction my entire life. Seeing my mother get to 250+ lbs and my brothers. No solution evidently, but they have no problem gorging and not taking care of themselves or striving.

You've said something that many are aware of, but definitely need to be reminded in order for it to stay within the conscious mind. Great Post. Keep it up man.

I'd just want to say that video games are not half as bad as all the other stuff you listed here. ;) I play them too, and I try to teach my boys to use their time responsibly. Both by example and giving them limits to their playing.

The ultimate game is life so there no use for playing video games when you can enjoy life as it is but I do understand what you mean. ;)

Limits are good since your kids don't get to burn themselves out but also, consider giving them endless time and possibilities on their hands to see what they will choose. That helped me a lot and instead of video games, with time, I got into other more rewarding stuff.
