Save The Coral Reefs In Nusa Penida. "The Law Of Destruction" Stop More Damage And Reef Bleaching!
Today my dear friend I met through Airbnb sent a beautiful photo "Save The World" which she shot in Bali during her visit at our house in Sanur.
At the same time I received a very important petition, I mention below, from my Indonesian friend @ekavieka asking for help. He was introduced by the very actively involved in the Indonesian community on steemit, wonderful Pak Hendra @happyphoenix
I was inspired and felt a duty to share with " the world", to help and save all coral reefs in Indonesia, especially in Nusa Penida, a place dear to my heart. During my stay in Bali for over 16 years, I sent many visitors to those magical 3 islands, Nusa Penida,Lembongan and Ceningan and every single one loved it!
I spent many wonderful days there as well enjoying the breathtaking beauty but now your Help is "demanded" to preserve nature at its best.
Nearly 48,000 people in 56 traditional villages and sub-villages live on Nusa Penida and its two neighboring islands. Those living along the coastline all depend on fisheries, seaweed farming, and marine tourism as their main sources of income. Inland, there is also agriculture and animal raising.- Source

Selamatkan terumbu karang nusa penida. Hukum perusaknya on change.org
Coral reefs in and surrounding of the island of Nusa Penida are undergoing the destructive process of coral bleaching. The appearance of the bleached coral is a relatively new development at Nusa Penida. Marine observers across Indonesia are reporting similar cases of reef bleaching. Researchers and volunteers from the Coral Triangle Center (CTC) are monitoring the condition of Indonesia’s coral reefs. CTC, basing their thinking on data revealed by satellite monitoring, has the growing suspicion that the sudden and widespread decline in coral reefs Sanur and Nusa Penida may be due to rising ocean temperatures.
Growing new corals
I took this photo on my way from Lembongan to Nusa Penida on my dear friend Komang's boat who was anxious to show me the horrible damage to the reefs and what locals do to save them from bleaching.

LAUT ADAlAH MASA DEPAN..... #nusapenida - Source and written by Nyoman Widana

Nusa Penida is an archipelago that is unearthed. It has a very beautiful coral reef. The economic life of the community has started to depend on marine tourism which is again the current trend in the waters of penida nusa. But as the development of tourism, many companies are starting to provide marine tourism services without regard to coral reefs bahakan until there is damage. Last month the damage was damaged by divers and NGO CTC (coral triangel center). Has been a meeting with the community and entrepreneurs and maritime departments of Bali province. The provincial marine affairs office promised to take decisive action after obtaining data from CTC. But until now the action has not been taken, even impressed this case just disappeared. Whereas complete data has been submitted to the maritime department of Bali province. Will this case just disappear? Let's talk with us together, for action to be taken immediately. So that punishment is immediately given. So there is no longer a naughty businessman operating in nusa penida.

The beautiful islands of the Nusa Penida MPA, with their rugged shore lines and luxuriant underwater landscapes, are just a short trip away from Bali. The islands are a reef lover’s paradise: home to manta rays, sunfish and turtles. At CTC we are working together with our government partners and local Penidan communities to preserve this timeless jewel of the Coral Triangle. The Nusa Penida MPA covers an area of of 20,057 hectares and is host to 296 species of coral and 576 species of reef fish, including five species previously unknown to science. In 2008, the area was identified as a site with a high livelihood dependency on marine resources and was recognized as a critical area for marine biodiversity through a Rapid Ecological Assessment (REA).
Beautiful Sanur for now documented with Photos from Gabriala Schuett!
