Jarmark Jagielloński / Jagiellonian Fair

Lato trwa, a wraz z nim lubelskie festiwale. W ten weekend odbył się Jarmark Jagielloński - uliczki Starego Miasta opanowali rzemieślnicy i artyści z całej Polski, a także Słowacji, Słowenii, Węgier, Litwy, Łotwy, Ukrainy i Białorusi, wraz z pojedynczymi reprezentantami z innych krajów. Można było zobaczyć (i kupić) tradycyjną ceramikę, wyroby z drewna; instrumenty muzyczne, rzeźby, pudełka; tkaniny i ubrania, ręcznie kute ozdoby i wiele innych.

STEEM has not died while we're alive. I still take pictures, but I find it very difficult to write a few words about them. It is time for another approach. Maybe now it will succeed?

Summer lasts, and so do Lublin's festivals. This weekend there was a Jagiellonian Fair - the streets of the Old Town were occupied by craftsmen and artists from all over Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Belarus, together with individual representatives from other countries. You could see (and buy) traditional ceramics, wood products, musical instruments, sculptures, caches, textiles and clothes, forged decorations and many others.

Tegoroczny Jarmark odbył się pod hasłem "koronki" - co prawda koronek u twórców było tyle samo, co w zeszłym roku, nawiązania do nich pojawiły się jednak w przestrzeni miasta. Oprócz kupowania i oglądania rękodzieła, można było z nim obcować również w inny sposób - przez trzy dni Jarmarku odbywały się warsztaty plecenia z trzciny, wypalania gliny i wiele innych. Wydarzeniu towarzyszyły również koncerty folkowych kapel.

This year's Fair was organised under the "lace" theme. Although the number of laces made by the artists was the same as last year, references to them emerged in the urban space. Apart from buying and watching the handicraft, it was also possible to experience it in other ways - for three days of the Fair there were cane weaving , clay baking and many other workshops. The event was also accompanied by folk band concerts.
