The Natural Beauty of Panama in Photos - Fun Friday by A Panama Mama
We love living in Panama. There are always so many beautiful places to visit and see. Here are some pics I have taken recently that I wanted to share with you. This is only a fraction of the photos I have to share. Unaltered photos taken with my iPhone. I hope you enjoy!
I have no idea what this is but I think it's beautiful. I call it the Trinity flower.

I love these flowers. I just made one with some roses. Ill post more tomorrow
You are right about the waxy flower, we call it Bunga Kantan in Malaysia, which is a ginger bud. This sort of buds (before it is full bloomed like the one you took) are perfect for one of the famous Malaysian dish, called Asam Laksa (sour spicy noodles) where it is diced thinly and is part of the ingredients to give its gingery fragrance into the mix.

See the pink portion at the middle? Those are the ginger bud slices.

I nvr seen that those flowers either, Panama sure is a heaven for nature lovers. I didn't know much about what to visit or how to go about in Panama, i will certainly look out for your post to learn more =)
Love the Hummingbird picture especially......it's nice to see what others see, although usually a lot have a better vista to look at then me, lol

Thanks! It is a nice area. Love it here! And the people make it even that much more wonderful - Panamanians and expats! The rock wall is really amazing. It's huge and the ends of it are really cool too where you can see the broken off parts. The kids love to climb there! Thanks for the comment.

My family ate some ice cream at that rock wall on our last day in Boquete (from Fresas Mary if I recall correctly or perhaps the cafe near Estadio Los Naranjos).
