Know what you eat on a day.

This is my entry to @qurator's Tasty Tuesday. You do not need to be a member to join their contests.

We are still on a diet.

We is me and the youngest. We started at August 12, 2019.
I use a Dutch app the "eetmeter" to figure out what I eat if it comes to carbohydrates and calories (kcal).
From the past I know my digestion is very slow. To loose weight I can only have 7 carbohydrates a day (you can test it with Atkins) and/or 500 kcal.

The "eetmeter" gave me info I never imagined (or forgot). Fruit and vegetables have way more kcal and carbohydrates as thought.

I love Brussels sprouts.
Only once I saw them in the shop and they were old and brown. This time I bought them. I cooked them in water only.

One tablespoon sprouts are good for:
31.5 kcal
3.6 carbohydrates.

Applesauce is good for:
51.2 kcal
11.2 carbohydrates

This difference is very small between what is seen as healthy and a pot of apple with sugar.

Potatoes
We seldom eat them and if with scale. This means we do not eat old potatoes and this will be our last time eating them.

Most vitamins are in the scale.
I cooked them a bit first and after that I fried them in a bit sunflower oil.

One tablespoon potatoes with scale are good for:
74 kcal
15.4 carbohydrates

Not really a surprise. Potatoes make fat, it is not only the gravy or mayonnaise you can blame for it.
_The fact Vincent van Gogh's "potato eaters" are skinny is because they have nothing else to eat.

Also a favourite of mine.
Shallot. I fried it a bit after I fried the potatoes.

One tablespoon is good for:
15.4 kcal
1.4 carbohydrates.

Our dinner.
We did not eat meat (0 carbohydrates) what you see was our hot meal. We are some applesauce.

My dinner was good for:

171.2 kcal
31.6 carbohydrates.

I ate way too many carbohydrates and my kcal was higher as 500.
Tomorrow I will eat less or different.

Since August 12, 2019, my youngest lost 4 kilograms and has 1 more to go.
I lost 5.5 kilograms and my goal is 7 more.

We do not use the BMI method for our ideal weight but length in centimeters - 115.

Hey @joslud, here is a little bit of BEER for you. Enjoy it!

I love brussel sprouts, too. I just planted my winter garden, brussel sprouts broccoli, spaghetti squash, and some different herbs

Next year I try the sprouts again and perhaps "boerenkool" unless I am still overweighted and suffer from sun allergy.
You plant whole year on?
Happy Sunday. 💕

@wakeupkitty There are different veggys for the seasons like brussel sprout, broccoli collards are winter crops, okra, siminole squash and like are summer I can grow peppers year round. Happy Sunday to you, my friend. I have never grown kale "boerenkool" but we love swiss chard and grow it.

I know there are but we can not plant them in the winter. We do in match/april latest so they can be harvested in autumn and eaten during winter. ❤️

I love brusselsprouts!! Hope you both reach your goal and stay healthy onward
