PAL Rewards

Like many of you, I've been having fun using palnet.io and getting some PAL rewards. I haven't noticed that my votes have been giving much in terms of rewards. That is until yesterday. I don't know how the rewards are calculated, but at the time I was giving votes that were quite sizable. Now I look back and they have changed slightly.

So I may not be making anyone a PAL whale any time soon, but something is better than nothing.

Does anyone know how the rewards are calculated?

Also, I've done a few posts about Steem Monsters since the SPT token came out.

Does anyone know how I can find my SPT balance?

The way I see it there's no downside to doing it. If you use the palnet tag, you can get PAL coins. Those are worth something on steem-engine, so if you want to cash them in, you can. And it's another way you can provide more vote value when you upvote others.

It does not look like you have claimed your SPT yet. You should be able to do so at https://steem-engine.com/?p=balances&a=themanwithnoname

Click your profile now and then select rewards.

That worked! Thank you! :)

That is great news!

Some of it was from the decimal change causing a recalculation of the entire rewards pool for a bit, there was also a display bug with palnet.io due to issues with the configuration not matching the new decimal system.

Over time as more people stake and vote, the value per vote will change as well.

So it was a little bit of everything.

Hey, it's getting worked out and we're having fun as we go. I'm considering it all as bonus tokens at this point, so I'm not worried at all. Thanks for your insight!

I think numbers are fluctuating as it calculates with decimals now. When I looked at my Palnet, the numbers seemed fine, but I've seen other people with wildly varying experiences posting about this today! Hopefully it settles down with time.

I wondered if it had to do with the decimal change. I'll bet it becomes a little more consistent now that the change has happened.

Yeah, probably just birthing pains, as it were. :)

Most likely. Not a big deal. :)
