Openmic Week 34 - Last Minute Entry "I'll Make you Mine." (Original Song) - Jaybird
I really really wanted to enter open mic this week, so I came up with this tune last minute (at about 3:30PM today). Got a video recorded, it's pretty rough yet presentable. Finished recording the vid at 5ish and by the time I uploaded and created this blog post it's now 5:20PM wooooooo!

Nice one man! I love hearing songs just at the time of creation... often there's a special connection to the lyrics that is easily accessible in that short time frame... before we get used to the lyrics and have to learn to reconnect to the original emotion later. Peace!
Ya mon, I did some editing along the way in the first hour. More or less a good template to go further with. I would have liked to spend a bit more time with it.

There is, I thought it was tomorrow.. In any case, the later you get it in, the less likely ppl will see it. I'm putting original music out there, I want people to see it.

too be honest, I never really posted any of my songwriting stuff with me singing before I discovered Open mic... So Who knows ;)
Definitely has potential, it's always cool to hear a song fresh from the mind, but I know you want to improve some parts in this rough idea. Thanks as always for giving us more original music to respect and enjoy bro.
Oh yea this guy is a rough sketch for sure! My pleasure, it's been great to just put stuff out even though it's not even close to done just to see how people are receiving the material. What do they say "on time is better than perfect." It's kinda of like that, where sometimes you just got to get something done and at a certain quality. However if you wait for it to be perfect, (and I know this lesson well), it never gets released!!
I completely can relate and agree to this bro, that's why I also just release my material, then rework it and re-release it so my supporters can witness the growth with me
