Steemit Open Mic # 68 - Slow Hands by Niall Horan (Ukulele Cover)
Hello Open Mic’ers,
Here we are at Week 68! I joined open mic for the first time on week 52 and it’s hard to believe it’s been 16 weeks already! Crazy to think that there are those who have been with it the whole time. That’s a lot of good music.
We had a rare, sunny day today, and so I decided to head out doors for my recording. It is still pretty cold here, but it was just too beautiful to stay inside! I wasn’t sure if the recording with pick up ambient noise or wind, but the microphone actually did a pretty great job.
I thought I had found a pretty secluded spot behind an old abandoned building, but apparently it is a common walking area for senior citizens. 😂 At various points in my recording today, I had a few random passerby‘s just stop and listen. Oh well... i’ll keep trying to scout outdoor spots that are quiet. I live in such a beautiful area, but there always so many people around. I might have to start getting up really early to try and record while it’s quiet. :-) once the summer hits and it is warm out, I’d love to do more outdoor recordings!

Aww I’ve missed you my friend!! You were one of the first people to give me a lot of encouragement here on open mic when I was new to recording! I think recording myself more often for steemit has definitely helped me improve. Before steemit, I would probably pull out my uke a couple times a week for a short span. Now I’m playing quite a bit every day!

I have been following you since I first heard you sing, and I would always give you a listen when i got the chance. the last one I listened to and you and your sister were playing together, which was pretty cool.
but i have been away from steemit for a while. I had too as it was taking up all my time and when you have 3 kids and steemit you have to put family first.
When you become a big star don't forget about me, i want the first ticket and I'll be in the front row :)

Thanks my friend! I love filming outdoors, but the idea of random passerby’s seeing me definitely makes it a bit scarier than just recording in my apartment!
