I had a good productive day off today, so I already got my song written and recorded. Woohoo!

One way or another, when this contest is over, I'm getting a guitar. I sold my last guitar years ago; I was dealing with some pretty intense hand and wrist pain, but I think I'm ready to give it another shot. The guitar is so much more expressive for songwriting.
I actually wrote a song a couple weeks ago called Blues Man with a Ukulele, expressing that very sentiment. Here is the link.
Anyway, I'm getting pretty addicted to songwriting as a result of this contest. My plan is to attempt to buy a guitar with SBD. @Meno might be able to help me out.

this is a fantastic song chris. Super positive lyrics with a real message. I think you can be really proud of this one! Especially like you said because you stepped outside of your comfort zone for it. Congratulations man. That first verse is like the Steemit Openmic summed up!
Thanks Basil! I wasn't very fond while I was writing it, but I'm pretty pleased with the product.
I'm still spending plenty of time in that comfort zone. Later today I'm putting up a new comedy song called Unfriend, as in Facebook.
I'm also working on a Christmas Carol called Merry Bitcoin Christmas for OpenMic.
I'm kind of nervous about tomorrow's topic, as I'll be away from home this weekend, with family.

Yeah, its definitely nerve racking when you REALLY want to get a song out, but time is short..... its all internal pressure, but its just so nice to be a part of this challenge that you want to keep giving to it, even when you need to prioritise other things!

My work schedule makes this challenge a little trickier. I work 11 hour shifts and I'm on for three days in a row this weekend. So if I didn't get my song written on one of these first two days I'd be struggling.
I was so close to turning this one into a comedy song, but decided to venture out of my comfort zone. :)
