Hate Speech - d00k13 Digest Vlog #42 [ Nazi Pug ]
For those of you not aware, Count Dankula (Mark Meechan) was recently convicted of a hate crime for making a joke video on YouTube. He taught his pug to make Nazi salutes and get excited to "gas the jews". It was an entirely satrical video to irritate his girlfriend. He may be looking at going to jail for 6 MONTHS because of this video.
The loss of FREE SPEECH in the UK
Every day in the UK, we lose more privacy, more freedom. This sentencing may shake the last remnant of freedom of speech, and means we must live in fear of making jokes, dare it offend someone then we will be imprisoned.
On the 23rd of April 2018 (Monday), there will be two protests. One in LONDON to get the attention of MPs, the general public, and other government. The other in NORTH LANARKSHIRE (scotland) where he is being sentenced.

Hey @D00k13! IMO Jail wasn't necessary. Actually I think it was very extreme. A fine maybe but jail... I disagree with that. Where did this happen?
This was in the UK, I don’t think jail was necessary either but it seems they’re trying to make a point with this case. I do understand why it is being taken so extremely serious but in future cases this will be something that is look back upon as somewhat of a failure because I believe the laws need to change to better incorporate severity of the situation.

Every joke is funny dependent on your perspective, the real question is when does a joke cross the line to be come abuse?
Freedom of speech and right to choose to listen or not. When people say stuff that offends me then I will either address it with discussion or not listen any longer. That seems to be a tried and true method that doesn't infringe on freedom.
Agreed, their discussion was done in a courtroom with a crowd outside screaming for justice. No pressure whatsoever to convict him SMH
In England is an EDL what it relates a lot to Nazism. So instead of taking care of that, they put a guy in jail for 2 years because he did teach his dog to salute high hitla?
Maybe his master plan was to make a small army of Nazi dogs?And they just did find out?
