submission , section "galmeetsdemo"

example

somewhat of an example of the minimum requirement that would be considered a demo submission, this thing is made w/ phaser to run in a browser its "exactly" 60 seconds (before credits) and has no two repeating frames (not that THATs the rules but somewhat of an example)

ofcourse, nothing beats a real c64 demo (hahaha amiga-groupies) no seriously if you feel amiga is the way to go then send us one ... we would even make do with an A500 and certainly give it a run , other than that ... well ... i mean if farbrausch or asd or flt would drop one for 50 steem no one here would complain , OFCOURSE theres no prestige to it here

but thats all fine, the world is going in the same direction as life recently, the universe has demanded balance and now there is symmetry, we told them they should have let us do but they insisted we be stuck in the swamp for life

atm theres a bit of an ongoing attempt to create a 1k intro for the c64 ... which brings up all these nice things like "memory" and others ... no tweens, no splines, even if in phaser you dont really have music sync and that was the attempt (a bit) you have that even less with 20 or 30 something opcodes and we think we understand why bacchus said its not really the most fun way to try and develop any demo on the actual machine itself in 2022 ...
atm its an assembler that runs IN the emulater, so actually its in memory on the machine
it takes up 8kb
out of 64 and ofcourse there's already quite some reserved space inthere for hard kernal routines , registers and other cute stuff that does stuff by poking at it, you can hardly use the screenspace to put code in unless its a real 256b and it doesnt get in the way and on top of that

all stuff i would NEVER have thought about in the last 30 years ..(20?) the label-table is ofcourse also stored in memory AND the assembly itself ALSO happens in memory (no swap file on the 45 ... 1543 ... euh 1?) so that leaves a bit of pickles

overwriting your own code while assembling it b/c you were putting it in the space the assembler uses to compile it to pure opcodes ...

i doubt python-ists will ever face that but THAT

we feel is exactly the charm (and ofcourse other than the cats that thing was maybe our first real friend who never lied)

the kid is a dead ghost now

and VICE has the nasty habit of randomly flipping anywhere between 4 and 50fps on the current system

which makes timing also a jar of pickles

as for that

i think humans call it a hobby

theres nothing weird about it

certainly not weirder than

rims

or baseball cards ?

so that weird error that says "object code will corrupt source code" on assembly is gone now the program starts at $C000

but its already 930 bytes

without the 300byte sid tune we found

(after assembly)

and thus

1k is hard like math for barbie i suppose

enjoy the summer it feels like its gonna be blazing year again, ... the addamses in france have 32degrees(celcius) at this time in may and here its like its mid-august or something at ten in the morning, it hasnt rained in like a month and this is belgium

... something seems awry

if you live next to a huge forest
