Why MSM sensationalizes Lil Wayne's seizures
As reported by Billboard.com this morning, Lil Wayne had multiple seizures Sunday night in his hotel room and later in emergency at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Hours before he was scheduled to travel to Las Vegas for a show.

Given that it has been reported for years that the artist is epileptic, one can presume these seizure stories are really created to reinforce an opinion the reader already has of the highly acclaimed rapper. Weighted on the side of a freak show more than being a highly successful talent. His image alone can challenge some of our particular beliefs on standards of celebrity, behaviour, wealth, and beauty. Without knowing his medical history, one might even consider his chronic condition simply as a consequence of his lifestyle. As such, it's apart of the package.
Would Lil Wayne deliberately exploit his own misfortune with uncontrolled seizures to penetrate today's MSM & social media maze for promotional purposes? Possible. If so, that would be some cost to pay to retain a little fame for a while. Consider this. On the other side of the equation is a media landscape with an insatiable appetite for sensationalism. Do you not think they would do and pay vast sums to make this man seize on camera? How? By continually reporting on every single episode they catch wind of.
Maybe it is just me. As dem seh, "who knows it feels it." The media could very well be showing genuine concern for the brother the only way it knows how. By shining a huge spotlight on him. Hope the big man recovers quickly and returns to the stage. What do you think?
